Just started imagining a Necromancer using their magic to create undead for the sole purpose of creating a musical number and they need back up dancers for their song solo.

i still think the best thing about lizzie/darcy is how almost nobody knew it was happening like it was SCANDALOUS and charged and they constantly oscillated between wanting to jump each other or jump each otherās bones and everyone was too busy watching the vanilla trainwreck of bingley/jane and the victorian equivalent of a nuclear bomb that was lydia and wickham to realize that a whole THING was going on right in front of their respective perfectly boiled vegetables
#like it SENDS me that at the very end janeĀ #who was the sister and confidante and like the one person lizzie wuld have gone down fighting forĀ #literally was like rip bro iām sorry you had to see darcy :/Ā #and lizzie is like jane *tears up* i want to sit on his face so badĀ (via @powerbottomblake)
Grieving for the death of my daydreams
hope this explains it
Some legends have it that when you see someone that you may never meet again, these flowers, also called red spider lilies or corpse flowers, would bloom along the path.
i donāt lose hyperfixations they just go dormant until I hear something about it like a sleeper agent
Iām so tired of feeling like Iām drowning
its kinda scary how your whole life depends on how well you do as a teenagerĀ
oh my god No it doesnāt donāt put this kind of pressure on people?? you can absolutely fuck up in your teen years and continue on to a good life just fine. you can drop out of school, get a GED, still go to college and finish your degree as late as you want. i know people in my school who still havenāt graduated and theyāre 26. some older. you can always transfer someplace else, always build yourself up from the ground. after a certain amount of college credits, a lot of schools really donāt care about your high school GED or your SAT scores anymore. if you fuck up in your teenage years you are not a failure!! you can ALWAYS re-invent yourself, always start over. there is always a second chance.
Reblogging this for my followers freaking out over art school/college. I dropped out of high school and never thought Iād get into college as easily as I did. You will be fine!
Fun story my biology professor just told us: Ā When he was 23 he was married to his wife and worked two jobs to support them since she was in college: gas station attendant and construction worker. Ā He worked these two jobs because that was the only work he could get since he was at the reading level of a third grader. Ā
One night he was writing something and his wife noticed he was writing from right to left. Ā Since she was studying occupational therapy she realized he had a learning disability and started working with him. Ā He slowly began to learn to read, and at 26 got his GED and went to college.
His first year of college he took the lowest level math course he could take, 001. Ā Over the years he worked on learning what he needed to, ended up graduating with a biology degree. Ā He then went on to get his masters and PhD, graduating at the top of his class. Ā He is now an extremely accomplished biologist and professor.
So donāt let anyone tell you that youāre future is based on your choices as a teenager.
Seriously. Ā Do not believe this. Ā You arenāt even stuck with your choices you make in your 20s. Ā I didnāt start working in my current field until just after my 30th birthday. Ā It has nothing to do with what I went to school for in my 20s. Ā My husband has a political science degree, and heās a sports journalist.
You are not tied to anything. Ā Go. Ā Be.
My day job did not exist when I was a teenager. And the idea of trying to be an author was a distant thing on my radar. I thought I was going to be an English teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a music teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a drama teacher.
Also in there: therapist, early childhood educator, then finally: web developerābecause by then it was an actual thing that existed. I didnāt actually figure out what IĀ āwanted to do when I grew upā until about eight years ago, when I was 36. I tried pursuing writing when I was 30, stopped, then started pursuing it seriously again when I was 40.Ā
There is always time to change. And donāt let anyone tell you that high school isĀ āthe best time of your lifeā either, because thatās bullshit too.
I was a high school drop out and didnāt go to college until I was within a month of my 40th birthday. While there I changed my major twice. Then I taught art long enough to earn retirement. Before college Iāve worked in dog kennels, as a cashier, a dental assistant, a vet assistant, electronics assembly,Ā a machinist in the military, picking up trash in a state park and as locksmith at a university. After teaching I worked night shift as a securety guard. Life is freaking adventure, not a locked grid you must move from one square to another. Take a chance, If you fail, get back up, dust yourself off and try something new.Ā
Your life is not over at 25. You can continue to learn and engage with hobbies and change your life path and meet new people. Get rid of this idea that what you decide to do at 18 is gonna be what you do for life
As someone who freaks out at times about this kind of thing in my final year of university, this really helped.
This isā¦so me
this was such a delight to read
Either way weāll find somebody
Just to reiterate that reblog from a while ago about ffnet dying and how one day probably soon we're gonna blink and it'll just be gone:
I'm trying to make backups of the few things I'm not too embarrassed to keep from Way Back When (because I'm also like 4+ computers beyond what I originally wrote that shit on and some of it got lost in data migrations)
And guys
The password recovery is NON FUNCTIONAL.
That site is circling the drain, so if you've got stuff on there you want to keep, go save it now.

This is so fucking stupid. I can't believe I'm doing this. I never use reddit, sorry if I do something wrong.
I (a 19 yr old girl) was watching Star Trek TOS a few weeks ago with 3 other friends (one 18 yr old guy, the other two don't matter) Ā over a video call. We get to the episode Amok Time, and long story short there's a scene where Captain Kirk's shirt gets ripped right across his pecs (it kinda looks like one of those boob window sweaters?? idk how to describe it I'm sorry)
So when Kirk's shirt gets ripped I say some dumb shit about him having fatty milkers and the two other friends laugh and we just start making tit jokes and making up increasingly stupid words for "boobs".
We watch a few more episodes then call it a day and disconnect the call, and a few minutes after disconnecting the call my guy friend (we'll call him Tom) messages me and brings up the Kirk boob jokes in passing, like he was trying to make it seem casual but I started feeling like he was bothered by it and wasn't telling me, you know? So I asked him if the tit jokes bothered him and he got really defensive and didn't really answer the question.
Later one of the other two people that was there (we'll call him Mark) messages me and tells me that my guy friend was mad at me. Apparently Tom had ranted to Mark about how William Shatner (the guy who played Kirk) was a huge inspiration to him as a kid and he thought I was being extremely disrespectful referring to his character (not even HIM, his CHARACTER) in such a derogatory way (as if William Shatner is gonna give a fuck that some teenage girl in central America said his old character had fat hooters, but I digress)
So Mark said I should apologize, I said it was stupid for Tom to have a temper tantrum over such a meaningless situation, Mark said that was mean, so I caved and apologized (and no it wasn't a backhanded apology, I messaged Tom and said I didn't mean to be disrespectful towards someone he looks up to and that I'd refrain from doing it in the future)
But then Tom continued to give me the silent treatment and fucking brings it up whenever we talk Star Trek and I ended up snapping at him that he was being childish for holding onto this for so long, and that I'd already apologized and I didn't see why this continued to be such an issue.
Tom is now giving an even harsher silent treatment. Mark sides with Tom for some reason, and the other friend just thinks this whole thing is funny. I don't think I'm the asshole, I'll admit it, but some outsider perspective would be nice. AITA?
the fact u didnt add some of the comments in the archives is so upsetting bc it means ppl r missing GEMS like these:

this episode of mythbusters started with an apology holy shit
Oh the cannonball aināt nothin compared to the esparto incident.
The what now
They were testing the phraseĀ āknock your socks offā and because its the mythbusters build team (which consists of 3 boom addicted gremlins) they decided to go to a quarry near Esparto california to test the myth by blowing shit up. This time they got 500 pounds of ANFO. The detonation was pretty damn big.
They started getting phone calls, turns out they and the experts underestimated the size of the kaboom, reports of broken windows, car alarms going off, people getting knocked out of their seats, hell one news station reported that they leveled the town.
According to grant, thatās why they can no longer go back to esparto.
LMFAO nobody can rival the power of the mythbusters
Iāve seen people talk about how adam and jamie are the polar opposite in energies but the build team operated on the same wavelength 90% of the time and that wavelength wasĀ ākaboom.ā
oh? if i'm an *evil* wizard then why does the king let me skulk around the throne offering bad advice unimpeded?
āCourage doesnāt always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying āI will try again tomorrow.ā
