I want to talk about this post real quick. (not the poster themselves, the post is an example I stumbled upon)

I will never understand people in these fandoms who feel obligated to threaten others who don’t share the same views as them, it’s extremely toxic and just makes the fandom unpleasant to be in. Now, I am not saying their opinion is invalid, opinions can’t be invalid, that’s why they are called opinions. I can see where they are coming from, and it is extremely fucked to sexualize children. But, you don’t see the same people (some aren’t this way, that’s gross, that’s a REAL CHILD) sexualizing child actors or children in real life, because...

They are not real people. They are heavily stylistic drawings (very cool ones but still). 

They look barely human, they act barely human (You don’t see peoples hands exploding everyday do you). It is a fantastical world created by a studio in Japan, marketed to teenagers and young adults (12-22) , some of which gain crushes on the characters, falling for their charm and development, which added to the already crazy hormonal changes creates the horny. So then, they will sought out fanfiction, fanart, etc. to calm the rapids. I will say, saeranssopretty’s point does stand higher for older audience members, (25+) who sexualize the characters in their minor state, which was most likely what they were referring to, but I can’t exactly see the point clearly through the 3x death threat of doom.

So, I feel it’s easier for people to just enjoy the fandom in anyway they like. As long as it isn’t at the expense of other REAL peoples happiness and enjoyment, your not making anyone feel ashamed for just being apart of the fandom in their own little way, so just live and let live. In the end they aren’t real, but the people who see the threats and receive the bullying are.

See this right here is part of what almost killed me last summer. I had other stuff going on mentally but seeing in my inbox over and over again negative things the monsters in my head were saying too just pushed.
