A pet peeve of mine is when fanfics of Buck when he was sleeping around a lot act like he was having super safe sex like girl that man was NOT having safe sex. Honestly it’s like a general fanfic ick of mine is when people get WAY too safe sex like it’s a high school PSA like no this character would not use a condom or dental dam

Yes it’s catholic gay repressed Eddie Diaz. The idea of him have all his first w a boy while growing up getting caught and sent to church summer camp and just repressing it all until he sees the boy on facebook is married to a man w kids and looks at his own life and spirals and reflects also want a messy confrontation with his parents but it’s not like they’re still homophobic they just blame the times and how they grew up and it’s all just a lot but through it all he realizes he def in love w buck and has been for awhile

I hate pretty much all character bashing tags in fanfics so obviously I avoid them but I get v annoyed b/c a trend in fic even w/o those tags is to make every character around Buck uniquely evil and out of character in order to further victimize Buck and I find it weird like yes they can be assholes at the 118 but not in the way that a lof of fics write. Especially Maddie I feel a lot of fic writers for some reason hate Maddie which is so wild cause not only do they have her literally go through insanes levels of trauma in that show but her and Bucks relationships as siblings is truly authentic
