I have a few wuestions, so bare with me please 1.) Which housing residence did you prefer/pros & cons 2.) did you enjoy fall or spring better? Im not sure if I should apply for spring 2017 or wait for fall so I can also apply for advantage.. Im not sure of the differences in seasons besides holidays, so any input would be wonderful, thank you in advance!
So this is going to be really long, but hopefully it helps.
1) I lived in Chatham and Patterson, but I had friends live in the others.
Pros: Bus stop is right there and all buses stop here; any apartment is maybe a 5-10 minute walk from the bus stop at the front; Welcome Events and Graduation, as well as other activities, are usually here so it is easy to get to without having to walk or catch a bus; all of the apartments are pretty nice; pool is more private compared to other complexes where people can watch you in the pool from their apartments; within walking distance of Publix and Outlet stores.
Cons: When there are Welcome Events, if you live anywhere near the field/pool area, you can hear the music; parking lot is a bit of a maze; can be a bit of a walk to laundry rooms depending on apartment location.
Pros: Really nice and spacious apartments; large kitchens with plenty of room for multiple people to move around; pretty easy to navigate the parking lot; 5-10 minute walk to the front of the complex and then another 5 minute walk to the Chatham bus; within walking distance of Publix and Outlet Stores.
Cons: There is no bus stop; pool is surrounded by apartments; walls around pool provide little privacy; bit of a walk to laundry rooms depending on where apartment is located but not horrible.
Pros: In-apartment laundry (aka free laundry); The Grid is located here which is basically a convenience store; Grocery Bingo and Movie Nights are held here; within walking distance of Publix and right across the street from Outlet stores; bus stop.
Cons: Not all buses pick up here and some drop-offs are per request, otherwise you have to walk to Chatham; the apartments are extremely spread out unlike the others and for some people it could be almost a 15 minute walk to the front of the complex; from front entrance it is about a 7-10 minute walk to Chatham; seems to have less parking than other complexes.
Pros: All buses stop here and most stay for around 5 minutes or so in order to get back on their schedule or switch drivers; Learning Center is here where you can rent books and movies or use a computer; within walking distance of Wendy’s, Chik-Fil-A, Walgreen’s, and Applebee’s.
Cons: You are a good distance away from the other complexes with about a five minute drive; some of the apartments are still not renovated and can be a little rough since it is the oldest complex; pool is sandwiched between the bus stop and apartments so there is a lot of foot traffic and no privacy.
Pros: 5 months long; You are there for the holidays which means seeing the parks and resorts decorated for Halloween and Christmas; Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Very Merry Christmas Party, New Year’s Eve fireworks; usually not too busy until the holidays come up; Fall Formal Event for CPs.
Cons: Missing out on holidays at home; working long hours during the holiday months and working on holidays.
Pros: Usually the holiday rush is over and all you have is Spring Break craziness; doesn’t get hot until the last month or so, otherwise the weather is wonderful; Easter parade and visit from Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny.
Cons: Only four months long; lots of cheerleading/dance/school groups come through; Spring Break basically lasts a month.
I hope these helped! Sorry I couldn’t think of more pros and cons for the different programs, but feel free to message me if you want more clarification on anything or have more questions!
