The character designs are different to match my headcanons/re-imagined version. This is just for practice, study and fun! I like to make my own version of characters from whatever media I like, it's the way I have fun. This was more common in the My Little Pony and Undertale fandom, but since now there are many redesigns (mainly from Hazbin and Helluva) done with malice I thought it was important to make this clear (and that's why I put this disclaimer in every post of mine). It's just my headcanons/re-imagined version, made with lots of care and love <3

And a headcanon is your personal preference on how you view the character, it doesnt have to be everyone else's and that's ok! At the end of the day characters are fictional and just made for our entertainment, and that's how I have fun with them. I'm not imposing my headcanon on anyone and my headcanons shouldn't affect your enjoyment of something, I just want respect. So feel free to block me, I mean this genuinely. I'm not going to stop doing something harmless that is good for me just because some stranger doesn't like it

I made these edits so I could understand how I'm going to draw them in my artstyle, and I took the opportunity and drew them with my headcanons/re-imagined version too :]

I wanted to give all imps a snout like Fizzarolli, I gave Loona some scars and made Octavia a fusion of a swan and an owl, and I also gave her some fancy constellation-themed jewelry, and the stars on her shirt (now blue, representing that she is closer to Stolas) glow a little in the dark

I was looking through some folders and ended up finding my old pilot redesigns!

I was pretty nervous and wasn't very proud of them at the time, but seeing it now I really liked it, they are pretty ok :] (notes in read more)

- I made these designs a little before the official redesigns were posted, and when I finished they had released Charlie and Alastor's new design and I put their new outfit at the last minute. I had thought of my version of Charlie with the all red suit and hair tied up because other official art of hers was like that but the official design at the time I made mine was the pilot's design. Honestly I have no idea why I didn't include the pilot's designs since I was redesigning them x)

- These designs were also made when the only source of research was the pilot, old official drawings and some livestreams, so my vision of most of the characters was very different from the final work that is the series, both their personality and their backstory

- I had no idea that Angel Dust wore a skirt, I always thought it was mini shorts! I think this is the only thing I didn't like and I would definitely change, I feel like I sinned xD

- Unfortunately I only made these designs and this design of Vaggie with her demonic form and then I went into a depressive crisis for another 3 years oof :')

- But now I'm back, and knowing more about anatomy, color theory and shape, etc. than before! ^_^

- I made the colors more saturated to match my art style

- Designs inspired by Valeriana's phrase: "Think of your memories of Amphibia, of how much this world means to you. This will allow the stones to resonate with your hearts... once again!"

Anne

- Lotus hair and frog eyes as in the concept art

- Lotus flower headband

- Heart-shaped gems as the blue gemstone represents heart

- Shoulder pad inspired by the Plantar's house and the blue mushrooms that are very distinctive in this region

- I made the boots more similar to the dragonfly costume's boots

- Vines on gloves and boots as they are a natural and common element in the region where Anne lived

- The boot leaf is the same as Leif's, the first Plantar

Sasha

- As Sasha herself said, "I am not that person anymore!", so I was heavily inspired by the new Sasha's outfit from the third season

- But I still decided to leave some elements of the official design on the arm, inspired by the design of the battle of the bands and her design of the second season, as they were important moments for her

- Now the heron circlet is bigger and has a scar on their eye, matching Sasha and Grime

- A cool eye patch with the eye symbol

- Toad eye!

Marcy

- Changes the hue to another shade of green

- I gave the same hairstyle as the battle of the bands outfit and kept the green barrette

- Newt eyes!

- Now the tiara has the shape of corals and a gem like the brain-like mushrooms (from the first temple) in the middle, as the green gemstone represents wit

- All armor is inspired from General Yunan and King Andrias' armor

- Shells throughout the design as they are very distinctive in this region

- Her skirt is a mix of my redesign with the design of the band battle outfit, and with the wave print like Lady Olivia's dress

Anne re-imagined! (edit video link) notes in read more

- I made the colors more saturated to match my art style

- I added some rips to her uniform and a short. I also gave details to her sock in blue as the color of the gem. I want Anne to transition from purple to blue with each design.

- I changed the dragonfly costume's boots to be more similar to the version that Anne drew, and I also changed the hue to purple tones and more blue tones like the gem

- I changed the hair to be in the shape of a lotus flower like in the concept art. The purple of the uniform is now the same color as the gem. Since she wasn't using full calamity powers yet, only the pupil is slightly different, similar to the frog's eye, like in the concept art

- I changed the lotus flower design and made it pink like the rest of the shirt. I changed the color of the sneakers to yellow because Anne really likes that color.

- I think it would be cool for Anne to return to Amphibia with a new outfit, symbolizing how much she has changed

- There was a big theory that I liked with possible foreshadowing Anne would lose an arm, so in my version when she sacrifices herself and uses all her energy to blast at the moon, her arm is the first to deteriorate and The Guardian backed up Anne at that exact moment. No big deal to Anne, just like she said "My time in Amphibia taught me that we're all changing, and learning and improving as we go. Every time I hit an obstacle, I found a way to overcome it."

- I'm posting this edit now but I had made them a year ago, and I couldn't find much information about prosthetic arms at that time. So in the future I want to research more about this and draw Anne with a prosthetic arm too

- I gave her a new blue uniform like the color of the gem

- I gave a little more blue to her timeskip design. I customized the I.D badge with the pan and trans flag since those are my headcanons. The butterfly bracelet is blue, green and pink, representing the calamity trio

- I also gave her a casual outfit since she was in her work uniform. I gave her sandals and a button shirt with the Amphibia symbol on it

- I made the colors more saturated to match my art style

- I made her skin tone darker since I headcanon her being mixed. She canonically has German/Slavic heritage, and I also headcanon her as Filipino and Japanese descent, like her voice actress

- I changed the hue of the armor to be closer to the color of the gem with each design and character arc that happened.

- I love the line "Of course this is my natural hair color!", it makes me have this headcanon and be almost certain that this is not her natural hair color. She was very busy leading Wartwood Resistance, she didn't have time to dye her hair roots

- After the season finale she still continues to dye her hair blonde because she likes it, but she no longer cares about showing the roots of her natural hair. She also continued exercising, so I made her with a little muscle

- There was a big theory that I liked with possible foreshadowing that Sasha would lose an eye, so in my version instead of Darcy attacking Sasha's back, they would attack her eye. The power of the gems managed to heal the wound quickly, but she did not recover her eye

- In the timeskip, the hue is pink as is the gem, her earrings are green and blue, representing the calamity trio. Her jacket has the bi flag on one side and a patch of her two heron swords on the other. She wears the eye symbol as a pendant and part of the heron circlet as a pin

Marcy re-imagined! (edit video link) notes in read more

- I made the colors more saturated to match my art style and made her slightly chubby

- I changed the hue of green on her uniform, to match the color of the gem more

- I gave the Amphibia outfit more green, changed the belt accessory to a shell, and since she is in Newtopia I gave her a fancy skirt without sewn parts

- Small changes in the hue of the personification of metamorphosis costume and I also changed the pink blush to green as well to be a foreshadowing of the green blood

- Since in the Sasha vs Darcy fight Marcy bled green and Matt Braly explained that "Her blood was green because while she was in the rejuvenation tank, nanobots were added inside her to repair the damage from the sword. These nanobots give the green color and that the nanobots will eventually dissapear from her blood, so some time after the events of Amphibia, Marcy's blood returned to its regular red color.", so I wanted to play with it a little more. I gave her newts eyes, another consequence of the rejuvenation tank. The green blood and non-human eyes will take much longer to disappear

- I created a new uniform for her new school. The rejuvenation tank managed to revive Marcy from death, but she still had her spine affected and lost the movement of her legs (she was able to use her legs in the season finale because of the rejuvenation tank, she was possessed by the Core and the effect of the gems). I added some stickers that she had in her diary to make the wheelchair more her personality

- After 10 years, her eyes are returning to being like human eyes, the sclera is lighter but still greenish. Now, with a lot of treatment, she has managed to regain some movement in her legs, but she needs crutches and a wheelchair, as she is an ambulatory wheelchair user. And I gave her clothes a little more green, and new stickers too! And a lesbian pin! I gave her a hidden disabilities sunflower lanyard since I headcanon her as autistic. Her earrings are green, pink and blue, representing the calamity trio

Verosika and her crew re-imagined, i had a lot of fun with them! =D (notes in read more)

The first changes were to make everyone have pink skin, to differentiate them more from the imps, as well as the heart-shaped tail; and the second change was to give the same color value as the skin tone of their human disguises

Now some small notes for some characters:

Apple - since i wanted all the characters to keep the same clothes in their disguises, my alternative was to give her a strand of pink hair because i felt like it was missing a bit of pink

Milky - i changed her hair to a medium afro and gave her more accessories like piercings and a choker

Verosika - i gave her a little more makeup and since i loved her first outfit i decided to keep it in her human disguise. since she is a pop star and was performing, she could pretend that her horns, wings and tail are part of the costume, i'm pretty sure the humans wouldn't even suspect xD

Josh - i added makeup and bondage harness, put on high boots and cut out the pattern on the shirt in a heart shape. since him and ace are dating, i wanted to give him the other hand of the glove his boyfriend is wearing

Kat - i wanted to show more of his skin, and since the ep takes place on the beach i gave him a very common outfit to see on the beach. i also gave him a piercing and two tattoos
