Driving up the coast to Santa Barbara there is a part of the PCH that just opens up to the hills on one side and ocean on the other. It’s beautiful. I was preoccupied and just the vastness took my mind of my small life.

The 1975 About You started playing and that song is just atmosphere so I put my hair up, rolled down the windows and blasted that song. Felt like I was flying under that California sun. THEN a penitentiary bus pulled up right beside me. So weird. The people on the bus and me, humans existing at the same time in the same place having such dichotomous experience of that moment.
