Doing a reorganization and...
Moving Rumple, Monet, and Cassandra to a new main blog and tossing them together as a multi-muse.
rp pet peeve ; when writing with a villain, one continues to poke the bear but once said villain retaliates, other’s grow upset or perturbed.
always remember ; if you choose poke the bear, you will get bitten.
VILLAINS are not punching bags, they are opposition that pose a TRUE & REAL THREAT. antagonize one & you incur the wrath. do not smite the writer for their chosen direction as they are simply reacting as their muse commands. ( & believe me, if you’re writing a villain, the muse is in control ). villains are not teddy bears. villains are complex, multi-faceted. perhaps they react in one way to one & differently to another. bonds are formed different. villains can sometimes be unhinged mentally where reasoning is skewed or twisted. they are not to be underwritten as little puppies with attitude issues. they are rabid dog most tend to shy away from. they don’t need a little love or a sprinkle of fairy dust to feel better, to be good. some villains don’t want to be redeemed. some villains don’t want emotional connection. many are selfish & if an emotional connection is sought after the villain will usually ( ALWAYS ) put themselves first. always talk to the mun, get a feel for the muse, get to know the limits - what lines to cross, what lines to avoid like the plague.
hot chocolate and a walk
drorah-walks:
The baker beamed as Rumple complimented her baking. "Oh, I have these orange honey cookies,“ she said. "Not too sweet, but there’s candied orange peel baked in and the sweetener is mostly honey. I also have these cherry chocolate chunk cookies. Milk chocolate chips with chopped, dried cherries in. They’re a might sweeter.”
The orange cookies were small, just about the size of two bites each. The cherry chocolate were larger, the size of a large bakery cookie.
“I will take one of the orange,” D'rorah said.
“They come in threes, dear. Good things come in threes.”
D'rorah chuckled and nodded. "Three then.“
"And maybe a cherry chocolate for you?” the baker guessed, looking to Rumple.
Rumple’s comment about opening a bakery got a nod from D'rorah. "That would be nice. You can always have a bakery that serves coffee too,“ she added. "People tend to like to mix them.”
While they chatted, the baker was pouring heavy cream back and forth between two vessels, mixing in the chocolate as it briefly passed back and forth over a flame to keep it hot.
“I could put a bookstore next door,” she added, laughing quietly. "They can get their books from me and then go next door to you for something to help them along in their reading.“
The comment about threes got a little smile from Rumple as she nodded in both agreement, and approval. “Cherry chocolate would be delightful yes.” Watching the heavy cream she tilted her head a bit before reaching out to take Lyra giving their daughter a gentle hug while holding her close. As much as she was perfectly fine with D'rorah holding the child she wanted her turn as well.
“It's like alchemy, or potion making almost. Temperatures just right. Things mixing and moving. See little one? All things have their magic and art about them. You just have to take the time to see it.” Eyes glancing up to D'rorah, Rumple smiled. “I had an idea once for a toy store that the two of us could run with a small kids book section inside of it, and an area just outside in a comfortable sitting area for story telling.”
It wasn't long before the baker had the cookies, and drinks ready. “Here we are. Everything just as ordered by my favorite family. Chocolate, more chocolate, tea, and orange. Now if there are any issues at all don't hesitate to let me know dear.” Offering a smile she offered it all up D'rorah assuming Rumple would be occupied with Lyra.
Rumple took one quick glance, and deep breath smelling the air. “Seems perfect. There's a spot over there in the corner?” Unless D'rorah had a different seat in mind Rumple was going to end up with her back comfortably against a wall, and able to see the rest of the bakery. Just in case.

flockofpan:
Ω Jonathan was terribly confused by the kitchen itself, unsure of what to do with all the various utensils, and materials. After all, different materials cooked differently, and responded to temperature differently. He certainly hoped not to burn anything accidentally. He turned the temperature of the burner down and began going through to find tutorials. ❝ Your… oh–oh I do apologize,❞ Jonathan could not possibly imagine anything more awkward. Though when she said she simply was not here, that held several different connotations to it. Was her wife dead, or simply just gone? ❝ Did she pass, or is she… someplace else? ❞
Rumple couldn't help but frown for a moment and take one long slow deep breath. The truth of the matter was that she missed D'rorah, but all the same absence made the heart grow fonder. Years apart, and the glee in coming back together was far better then staying together for hundred of years and growing tired or weary. That honest emotion made her next statement seem all the more true as even her scent shifted a touch to reflect it.
“She was declared legally deceased a couple of years ago. As was our daughter. They just... didn't return. Our daughter was an adult, and they decided to travel together for some bonding time.” Taking a sip of her tea Rumple shook her head. “So here I am in Gotham. Building up something new, and getting used to all this. It seemed as good a place as any. If nothing else it certainly keeps me busy enough. I still miss them, but if they were able to they would have contacted me by now.”
Blinking she lifted her head up to watch Jonathan in the kitchen. “She was my better half honestly. Kinder then I am. At any rate I doubt you wish to hear an old woman lamenting about the past. Tell me, would you like it if we went out to get you a set of cookware you were comfortable with? If you are going to be doing a good portion of the cooking there is no reason for you to adhere to my oddities concerning materials, and the like.”
How could one play a manipulative character?
Ah, manipulative people. Oh-so-fun to write, not so much fun when you encounter them in real life. Here are a few things you can implement when writing or roleplaying such a character.
Flattery
Manipulative people will often be incredibly nice and sweet to you, and shower you with compliments to get you to do their bidding; butter you up, if you will. Basically, manipulative people will can be the best friend you’ve ever had as long as that friendship gains them; and once they feel you’re useless to them, they will either be your worst enemy, or treat you like air.
Hidden agendas
Perhaps a manipulative person doesn’t have a hidden agenda when brushing their teeth, but it’s not unlikely for them to have one whenever they interact with others, and that they’re always thinking about ways to get their will through. Don’t pin what they do on chance, but instead consider the fact that there might be an underlying reason for whatever they do in the company of others—until proven otherwise.
Bullying and guilt-tripping
When flattery doesn’t work, manipulative people will often show a more negative side and turn to things such as bullying and guilt-tripping to get what they want. Instead of making you feel like the best person in the world, they will make you feel like the scum of the Earth; chewed on, spat out, and stomped on. Most likely you’ll end up agreeing to their demands; not because you want to, but because you have to.
Stealth
What makes manipulative people so tricky, is the fact that they’re usually rather suave and pretty good at covering their tracks. Chances are you won’t even know you’re being manipulated until it’s too late; if you ever notice at all. Don’t write the manipulation tactics as being used too obviously, but instead, try to slip it into the writing with a little bit of stealth.
That’s pretty much all I can think of right now, so hopefully you got something out of it. Here are some additional links you might find useful:

Reg stepped quietly into the shop, perusing the shelves to see if there was anything of interest. Rumor had it that this was the place to procure any items that were… a bit more out of the ordinary. He hoped to find a weapon of some kind, something he could use lest someone identify him as the wrong Barclay.
Of course, there was no way for him to realize that his counterpart had a history in this shop and with its owner. And just setting foot inside was likely to give him away.
Reg stepping into her shop was possible to be sure. They had a bit of a history, and after their little outing to Bajor wilderness albeit by accident Rumple could tentatively accept the idea of the man visiting her. However to see him just... quietly wandering about her wares like a brand new customer was so close to impossible that it couldn't help but catch her interest.
“Welcome, welcome to The Enchanted Forest dearie. Home of trinkets, and antiques. Dolls, and collectibles. Books, and records, and so much more besides.” The easiest way possible to tell if it was Reg himself, Reg but changed, or someone else entirely. Treat him as though he'd never entered before, and if he went with it... well then it seemed there was a new game afoot, and one she'd not set in motion which meant it hardly met with her approval.
“Ms. Gold most call me, or Rumple if you've no desire to be formal. Is there some way I can aid you this day, and something to call you by?”
Counter Strike: Global Offensive
this guys videos are fucking incredible i really want everyone to watch them
this man is like midas but with knives instead of gold, he can make anything a knife, sicssor knives ,ice knives, cardboard knives, tiny knives if it can be made into a knife he will do it, and if he cant, he will do it anyway because fuck you
This doesn’t even have the best one. One time he made a knife out of ravioli then proceeded to use the knife made out of ravioli to cut up cheese and tomatoes and basil and shit then took the ravioli knife that he had used to cut up his other ingredients and cooked said knife with those ingredients and ate the fucking knife!
ate the fucking knife
nah, his best one? he made a knife out of smoke.
You know how to sharpen smoke? this guy does.
Let’s not forget everything else in his videos.
The googly eyes he puts on things
His cow jugs
The empty fridge that only contains Jack Daniels Chocolate
That one time a bear figurine possessed with a demon would attack him if he didn’t pet it so he had to build a machine that constantly rolled the bear against brushes so he would be safe long enough to finish the knife
A Fae and a Loki
Continued from Here: With @dearlokigodofmischief (tagging @drorah-walks because mention of D’rorah)
♔—- “That’s a fair statement,” Loki agreed. “But that really just puts more responsibility on us, doesn’t it? To ignore everyone around us and tune everything aside from our own voices out? It sounds simple, but it certainly isn’t easy. I’ve lived for eons and I still haven’t perfected the skill.” No matter how much he might have looked like he had on the exterior… What he presented to people and the ruth were not quite so close. Over the years, he’d learned how to hide what he didn’t want other people to see. The skill that made his manipulation so dangerous, really.
“So, what verdict have you given yourself, then? Have you forgiven yourself or do you still struggle with your actions every single day?”
Getting to that point of her pregnancy were she was just starting to show Rumple had a hand resting protectively on top of her stomach, while her other hand refilled their respective tea cups. Where exactly D'rorah was she wasn't quite sure, but Loki was nothing if not an interesting person to sit and chat with. She wasn't convinced yet that she actually trusted him. Despite D'rorah's friendship with him. Rumple was far too personally familiar with the kind of games tricksters and manipulators could play. She'd played them herself. However she did find herself willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
“Who said I had anything to forgive myself for? Has D'rorah been sharing stories already?” Voice teasing Rumple offered a little smile before shaking her head. “No, let us be honest. I'm sure we've both done things in the past. As for the verdict...” Voice trailing off she reached for her cup to take a sip of tea. A person could be excused for assuming she was going to avoid truly answering, or that she was going to change the subject. She was actually quite tempted to do so. However Rumple had been changed a bit by her time on Terok Nor and Bajor, and the pregnancy was making her a bit introspective. It was a fair question that Loki had asked.
“I think some actions never stop being a source of struggle. That certain things once done act as an eternal lesson. A reminder that even someone like me has a point she doesn't wish to go past, and regardless of if it was by choice or by being forced to do so it is still something that shouldn't be forgotten. There was an incident that it took me a while to...At any rate. The answer to your question?” Leaning back just a touch Rumple's odd eyes gleamed for a moment with those golden motes as she smiled playfully. “Yes.” As far as Rumple was concerned it wasn't a one or the other type thing. She could manage to forgive herself by and large for the past, and yet still struggle with it.
Giving a little nod to Loki she had a curious look in her eyes. “What about yourself? What verdict have you passed?”

Ahh thank you! I love it!
My home will be a home with no loud anger, no explosive rage, no slamming doors or breaking glass, no name calling, shaming or blackmail. My home will be gentle, it will be warm. It will keep my loved ones safe. No fear, no hurt and no worries. I may come from a broken and twisted place but I will build something whole and safe. I’ll sing in the shower again, cook with a smile and dance in all the rooms. I will heal.

A dating service where matching is based on people’s search history exists. You’re a serial killer. You go on a date with a writer.
Serial Killer: metaphorically, if you were to kill someone, how would you do it?
Writer: Air shot between the toes, it’ll look like a heart attack.
Serial Killer who is obviously in love already: *sucks in a breath* ok
Writer: how long would it take to die if you were to potentially stab someone in the guts
Serial killer: anywhere from 2 to 30 minutes
Writer, already bringing a ring out: *shaking* thanks
A++ addition
Writer: *shows the serial killer the murder scene they’re writing* babe, i’m not sure if this would actually work?
Serial killer: *kisses writer on the forehead and leaves, comes back later, a suspicious scent of blood coming off them* it works baby, you’re doing great
I LOVE THIS
