infinity war rewrite. opening scene. instead of monologuing about nonsense for five minutes (boring) and killing heimdall (unnecessary) thanos just grabs loki by the ankles and shakes him upside down until the tesseract falls out his pocket, but then thanos keeps shaking him and more and more entirely identical tesseracts just keep falling out of loki’s pockets and making a pile on the ground and this goes on until the point where it becomes comical

Want to be able to donate to charity frequently and without worry.

Want to buy hardcover books to read and put on a shelf for my kids to read someday.

Want to have candies in bowls for people who visit.

Want to be able to take my young siblings and cousins to a movie and let them get the big popcorn they won’t finish, because there’s magic in just having it.

Want to have a linen closet or at least a linen shelf.

Want to go see live local theater several times a year.

Want to have a bottle of wine or champagne in the house for when I suddenly need to celebrate.

Want to have a kitchen with basic baking supplies so I can bake bread on the weekend, and pies for special occasions.

I just want to be comfy.

That is my definition of ‘wealth’, as contrasted with ‘excess’.  As my mother in law put it – if I can see a little something in a store that I know a friend would love, and just BUY it for them without having to worry about whether I can afford it in the budget, that means I’m well off.  And that?  That is what I want.

Pieces of His Heart

“Please, Dean, don’t go.”

“I’m sorry babe, I have to.” He wants nothing more than to be here, with her.  This life though, the life of a hunter, it doesn’t stop. There’s always a job to be done. Monsters and ghosts and demons never take the day off, so he can’t either.

“Dean, I’ve never asked you to stay. Not once in all these years.” Her voice is pleading, verging on desperation. It kills him.

“I have to. Sam needs me.” He wishes he could say yes. It’s true.She’s never asked him to stay before. She gets it. She knows the job, the life.  

“I need you,” she says, her voice soft, barely more than a whisper.

“I know, and I’ll be back. Soon as I can. I’ll make it up to you, I promise. ‘K, babe?”

“Yeah, okay.” She turns her head so that he can’t see her tears, hiding them behind the curtain of her hair. She doesn’t look him in the eye, because she doesn’t want him to know she’s lying.

The screen lights up on your phone, Sam Winchester’s name flashing on the screen.This can’t be good, otherwise Sam would never, ever call you. Not after everything that happened. Should you answer? You don’t really want to dredge all that shit up. But if he’s calling, it’s important. You’re thumb hovers over the green button. It’s on the third ring before you decide to answer.  

“Hello?”

“(Y/N)? It’s me, Sam. Please, don’t hang up, just hear me out.”

“I’m listening.”

“Thank…thank you. Listen, I wouldn’t be calling if I didn’t need help, you know that I wouldn’t. But I need you.”

You can’t figure out how Sam knows you’re in the area. You haven’t had contact with Dean or Sam for over year. Is he still keeping tabs on you through the hunter network?  It’s touching in a way, you’ve always had a soft spot for Sammy. Truth is, you miss him.

Why the fuck are you driving to the motel right now? Why would you willingly put yourself in this position? Must be temporary insanity. It’s the only logical explanation. Maybe you should drive straight to the psych ward and check yourself in after this is over.
