His background story is the most facinating and heartbreaking of all of the characters. Although he seems the be in it only for himself, he always ends up helping his friends and help them have their happy ending, while he always end up fighting for his one and only goal: freedom. The only thing he wants in life, so simple yet so impossible. He keeps on getting hurt by faith, but he keeps on going, going forward towards the unachievable horizon like a true pirate. He is a good man (yes you saw what i did there) and one of the most inspiring and loved characters ever, brilliantly written and portrayed and he will always be my favorite!

Happy Hobbit Day!

Hobbit Day is an annual observance marking the birthday’s of both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins. Hobbit Day was started in 1978 by the American Tolkien Society. Some fans have started celebrating September 22 as Hobbit Day by having parties. Some fans of Tolkien’s books also celebrate by going barefoot in honour of the Hobbits, who usually do not wear shoes.
