DID YOU KNOW that sometimes characters lie. out loud to others and internally to themselves, and it'll happen right there on the page. other times they are just flat out wrong and don't know it. oftentimes they don't ever find that out. a sizable portion of any story is decidedly not cold hard fact.

My Top 100 Ships of All Time:
Ships that still hit me as hard as the first time, to whom I will always come back, even decades later, because their interaction actually is one big reason for me to relive the media they are in. Those are the ones on this list. It was a tough, because I know pretty much everything, thank you very much. So I decided to do honorable mentones once this list is done. We have worked our way up forty ships already on this list, and this means the gears are changing once again with things getting more heated. (Well not really, but the competition gets harder).
This one should have been endgame, but as we all know F.P. was written out of the show after the end of the original High School-Arc, and unless others who were allowed to guest star from time to time he never came back (which is also kind of strange if you consider the impact that his an Jughead). As the last "adult" main character left Alice had to romance Archie's uncle Frank instead, which was more or less random. And to make things worse F.P. also did not show up the the alternate 50s Timeline, like at all, where Alice did not end up with him for a second time. Buh. See, I told you Season 5 to 7 are inferior to the first four seasons, and this is further proof, because F.P. was just the best man for Alice and not just because he - other than Hal - wasn't a serial killer, but because he knew her before she become proper Northside Alice, he knew her as a serpent and loves her than and he loved her as an adult when she went straight and played the dutyful wife and advocate for moral. Because he knew both sides of her were just surface, she was much more underneath. Look, those two buried bodies together, there are not many people who you can do that with. F.P. pulled himself together mainly for Jughead of course, but Alice was another contributing factor for the Gangleader turning lawman and upstanding citizen. And it has to be said - especially thinking about what we went through on "Gossip Girl" that never ever anyone had a problem with the fact that Betty and Jughead and Alice and F.P. were dating at the same time. They just did it and no one screamed "but that's wrong" because it isn't. It's too bad the son the had together turned out the way he did, but that wasn't either of their fault, so yes, they should have just stayed together, because Alice was a much better character with F.P. around and regressed to houswife and nagging hysterical mother in the later seasons after he was gone. Too bad.

VERONCIA LODGE WEEK: DAY 1: Pre-canon / Homage
if you work in a creative field...or if you do creative hobbies like writing or drawing...you need to make friends with people who don't do those things. you need to befriend normie Steve who has never written a story in his life. and this is because when you are in a creative job or hobby and spend all your time doing that thing, surrounded by very capable people, who you inevitably compare your own progress and skills to, you forget what the baseline human skill at that thing is. and it's usually zero. normie Steve has not written a story since the 3rd grade when his teacher made him do it. he's very good at other things that are not storytelling - but if you tell normie Steve that you wrote a full 300-page book from start to finish, he will think you're some kind of savant. he does not know ANYONE else who has done this. you need this perspective. because when you're constantly on Let's Write Stories dot Com then everyone on Let's Write Stories dot Com will inevitably be like "oh of course everyone on earth has written a book or several at this point!" and you canNOT let yourself think that. that is not even close to the average human experience. you are in a bubble. do not put yourself down. do not give up.
REAL AND TRUE. my newest normie steve does 40 mile bike rides on a whim and excels at outdoor rock climbing. i will always hype him up.
