Sometimes it’s either one thick or several thinner braids and sometimes it’s two large twist, tied beneath the ears.

But we always used to style our hair in this shape and usually coupled with short bangs or a side part.

There are some other hairstyles in southern/northern Morocco/Algeria, but these styles are worn by an overwhelming majority of Atlas Berber tribes in both Morocco and Algeria.
