Here’s a pretty little giraffe to give your Monday a boost! ❤️ After seeing my zebra print, the lovely @chikumo asked me to create a giraffe version and this was the result. I did a little tour of what I use to paint my pet portraits in my stories yesterday. It’s probably not that normal to start with the darkest areas but that’s what I do! I use the black ink pen to put the dark bits in & then use watercolour with a water brush to do the rest. My favourite part to paint is the eyes. Season 5 of House of Cards is now on Netflix! I have high expectations as the last season was so epic!! It took me a while to get into it as it's quite heavy at times & takes concentration to keep track of everything. This amazing espresso cup & saucer is made by @polonapolonashop. A few months ago I bought a Linocut kit. A few weeks ago I actually opened it up & started creating! I drew Chuck Berry repeatedly until I got an expression I liked. Then I made it into a Linocut! The print you see here was my very first go. I'm going to cut it again & make a few adjustments. I plan to do a series of these small prints with big white borders.
