your avatar dungeon meshi comic is so awesome! how'd you choose what type of bender everyone was/ what nation they came from?
hi! thank you so much for asking! I'm a little surprised that comic is still going around lol, it feels like it's been so long - Falin and Laios came from a small village, which kinda reminded me of Sokka and Katara. They're very different characters ofc, but Falin's propensity for healing and Laios's knack for strategy/clevereness felt like parallels, so I put them in the water tribe. Laios is a nonbender in this au. - Marcille definitely could've been water. I saw a lot of comments about her being a bloodbender, and I think that's a super fun path to explore. I just landed on fire to contrast her with Falin a bit more and reference her love for explosion magic (also for the gag in my comic). - I made Senshi an earthbender bc golems, gardening, stubbornness, and dwarf association with mines/underground. He was definitely the easiest one for me to place. Maybe he can also bend metal to make his pots and stuff lol - I made Chilchuck an airbender bc of his evasive skills, nimbleness, and distaste for direct combat (ik in the canon aang is the last one, but I wasn't taking this au super seriously ;-; and I felt like it really suited him). It was cool to learn that he had the same VA as Aang in the brazilian dub! - I made Izutsumi a nonbender, and in my head she was kinda like a wanderer after leaving Shuro/Toshiro's group. I was looking at Jett's gang for costume reference. I figured she could've had some interaction with a cat spirit to have ended up half animal. Hope that answers your question! sorry i was late responding lol, I wanted to make sure I dedicated enough time to this :)
Senshi wouldn’t be a metalbender because of his reaction with Namari about not understanding metals
This is Money Snake. She only appears every 312 years.
If you reblog her picture within the next twenty-five seconds you will have good luck and fortune for the rest of your life.
I reblogged her late last year and my 2024 has been very satisfying work-wise and (secure enough to not stress out) money-wise so far. Money Snake is wise and good.
Not worth taking the risk
i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping
this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back
additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you
useful terminology for different kinds of clothing shapes :)
Even piggy is against me!

*doom music starts to play* I actually kindof like scheduling these kinds of appointments now...
but seriously Fellas, don't forget to schedule a pap smear every couple of years just in case. If you still have a cervix you can still get cervical cancer. ilu
this has been a psa
i've had this as an idea since 2017 btw
damn, tumblr says my art is ass and trans people is eye strain so no blaze for me :\
it'd be a shame if this...

I've been seeing a lot of knight posts recently. pretty great
Puchiko, do you prefer Tumblr or X?
"Hey bro do you prefer coffee, or bucket of slugs?"
I swear the fucking god. Leave it to Tumblr to be the only website who wants to be the bucket of slugs
reblog this to put a leaf on your mutuals head

Everyone here is dead.
it's amazing how ordinary objects can become so significant to only the owner
when my aunt's best friend passed away, my younger brother was four years old. at his funeral, my brother went up to her and gave her a nickel. he told her very solemnly that it would make her feel better. she smiled for the first time in days, and tucked it in her wallet.
when my brother was 22, his best friend passed away unexpectedly. my aunt drove three hours to be there for him at the funeral. she went up to my brother, gave him a big hug, and then gave him a nickel. it was the same nickel; she had kept it in her wallet for 18 years, and now it's on a necklace that he never takes off.
what i'm trying to say is that the love you put into the world will always find its way back to you.
if i had a nickel for every time this happened in this story, i'd have the same nickel, twice, which is actually really a lot, and it's cool that it happened twice
Biblically accurate Falin
Ok now do NYT columnists
already this has tags in the notes like “#anti ai” but... this is just real life with almost everything. this is like grifter 101 please don’t exceptionalize needing to be critical of chatgpt.
This is literally how job interviews work, by the way, and then everyone is surprised the super-duper confident guy is also an incompetent moron.
This worked on Trump voters, with the added selling point that he's a piece of shit that gave them permission to be pieces of shit.
Talking to experts when I was young used to drive me nuts because I would say something self-evidently straightforward, and they would say, "Well, it's not actually as simple as that..."
And then I got older and learned things on the way, and found people asking me questions that were straightforward, but the equivalent of "Why isn't it obvious to everyone that there is only one right way of doing the thing...?" and I would reply, "Well, it's not as simple as that..." and watch them decide that I probably didn't know what I was talking about.
