Idk if the feeling of excitement… and then the pure dejection I feel at seeing I have a new follower, and clicking to find it’s in fact a porn bot, will ever cease. It’s so predictable, but I still have hope every. single. time.
The increase is “driven primarily by the premature death of people who would have received retirement benefits.”

I have been so utterly transfixed by this phrase lately.
I find myself saying this out lout whenever I feel stumped by any conversation. Any time a conversation gets kinda stupid and people start saying unnecessary things I immediately have a strong compulsion to say "uh... white person here. i jack off to goombas from the super mario bros games"
Fuck a personality test. Which label sticker r u?
I do not feel fly like a G6 and have not for a very long time
"I keep hearing people say
the pandemic era
is over,
but then I hear about
tuberculosis in Kansas,
measles in Texas,
bird flu everywhere,
record influenza rates,
RSV, norovirus,
and, yes, still about Covid,
and I worry
the pandemic era
is over
because the pandemics era
has begun."

I am very covid cautious and I just want to say that at this point of failed public health response, staying home when you're sick is basically impossible at this point. Like yes, taking a day to three off when you're at your most symptomatic is possible, but the length of time people are sick and the frequency now, like low income people can't afford it. We just can't. We need better policy around this and it's so frustrating how little people care, including people who need the policies the most
Sucks how we could all be doing creative things like this to actually live with covid but instead people rush back to the bland consumerism that requires they take no action instead.
now that trump has tiktok, twitter, facebook and insta in his pocket, get ready for a massive wave of internet censorship. one of trump's greatest weapons has always been misinformation; it's going to become harder and harder to spread facts and criticism going forward. posts that aren't made invisible will be magically ignored by the algorithm. dissidents will have their accounts deleted and voices erased.
this is a suppression tactic. this is another stage of fascism.
And with Elon hitting the nazi salute today at the inauguration…for those who want to deny that fascism is here, idk what the fuck to say to you.
I mean what else can I say that hasn’t already been said.
musk is going to die in a Tesla explosion in 6 months after sticking his nose where it doesn't belong and we will never get a conclusive answer on whether it was a CIA car bomb or just a normal Tesla malfunction

no like he actually said this
David Lynch just passed. If everyone could spend the next few weeks becoming a little more offbeat, a little more in touch with the strangeness of our world, maybe we could begin to replace the massive void he leaves. We may not see another artist like him reach prominence within our lifetimes, so please go out and search, in the world and in yourself. Embody the truth, lead with love, hold the hands of those outstretched to you, and go as far as you can, no matter how deep and how dark, face it with love.
And wear a mask
Context: David Lynch was forced into isolation towards the end of his life due to being high-risk for covid and due to public health measures such as universal masking requirements being abandoned. Wearing a mask honors his memory by making public places safer for disabled people like him. It also helps protect you from wildfire smoke, which seems to be what killed him.
