Our name is Dakota / Kota !

We use he/him, ae/aer, it/its and hy/hymn. We identify as transmasc, gay and demi-aroace. Feel free to also call us Aether or Polaris! (Please use these as well! We like people using our names fluidly, same applies to pronouns!) We currently are a minor.

We are an OSDD-1b system with around 20 alters, we don’t care if you use singular or plural terms on us. We won’t be proxying or talking in depth about us as a system on this blog, as it’s mostly for our fandoms!

I reblogged this yesterday, but I want to reblog it again. Diabetic ketoacidosis turns your blood acidic and will essentially burn you from the inside out.

The stories you hear of people dying from rationing, this is what happens to their body.

Affordable insulin isn’t just a right, it’s a necessity.

No one should have to die like that when it’s preventable with access to proper medication.

I’m a diabetic, and it runs in my family. My great grandfather’s sister died of it when she was a child. I almost died of diabetes two years ago, when I was first diagnosed.

I started a new insulin pump recently. Once the first batch of supplies ran out, I needed to order more.

Insurance wouldn’t let me. They said I would be fine without it, and thank god I was. Eventually, after two weeks, they sent more. Not only should insulin be available, but insulin pens, needles, pumps and CGMs should be as well. It’s a need, not a want, and the lives of people depend on these things.
