Dear trans community

As a pansexual, I really don't care about gender. It's not that I find it to be a drag or anything, I'm just indifferent to it, it makes no difference to me if you're cis, trans, non-binary or fluid. That being said, how should I deal with a trans partner?? I don't want to upset them or invalidate their struggle or gender, but I wouldn't know how to reassure them that their emotions are valid because I just don't see gender like that. Do trans men need to be called manly? Do trans women need to be told they're pretty?? Please keep in mind that I recognize my ignorance, that's why I'm trying to look for information.

Ok, hear me out. For the longest time, I've felt irritated when people focus on Lance being Cuban and I didn't know why until now. He never speaks Spanish, he never references the culture, he's never shown living in Cuba, etc. And I know a lot of character backstories are untold/not the focus, but people make it out to be such a big part of his personality, even incorporating it into fanfictions/fanart (with an embarrassing amount of inaccuracies), but it feels so sloppy! Kinda like JK Rowling casually mentioning that Dumbledore was gay even though she never hinted at it during the entire saga. It feels like misrepresentation.

Puerto Ricans either choose to vote locally or in the states, but not both. My mother's job depended on the fact that we vote locally (corrupted government manipulation). She still lost her job after the hurricane, but now we are stuck, unable to vote in US elections/midterms but can't go back home. PLEASE vote for us! Every vote counts!

My leftist mother just antagonized the victims from the Me Too movement for not coming forth earlier and didn't even bring up the "legitimate" argument of false accusations (even though if you take into account the male population in the US and do the math involving the cases of false accusations, even bumping up the numbers, there's like a 0.3% chance of being falsely accused of rape but ok, Chad). I almost squared up with mine own mother.
