Kids that age are parrots of tone and phrasing. So the whole bit with “You’re getting it through! You’re almost done! You’re doing a good job!” means that there is at least one adult, if not more, in her life that regularly talks to her that way.

trans and nonbinary equestrians exist! gay and lesbian equestrians exist! ace and aro equestrians exist, bi equestrians exist! I know lgbtq+ equestrians aren’t very visible, and I know that it seems like everyone else at the barn are cis straight women with boyfriends, and yeah it’s easy to feel left out. Like the equine world is not for you. but there are others who feel the exact same thing, and you have every right to be at a barn and I promise, your horse 100% doesn’t care about your orientation or gender.

Studies have shown that the shift starts to happen around age 30. If you’re close to that, make a conscious effort to be open to and accepting of younger people. I’m 31 and paying close attention to how I react to young people and new trends and shit and trying to keep myself from developing those thought patterns.

So I got my new laptop and holy heck I love it. 10fps? Who is she I only know 60. It still needs a little tweaking and the colours are a little too dark but I’m working on it.

I also finally got to Mistfall and wow… It’s the first time in a long while that I’ve just walked through under the starlight listening to the soundtrack and not galloping everywhere. It’s so relaxing. 

I haven’t set up all my programs yet, so I had to take a screenshot and paste it in paint but I still love it.
