Concept. Jess starts going to the coffee shop regularly and notices a super cute boy named Alex. Jess also notices that a super cute girl named Alex also works there. It never crosses Jess' mind that they never work together but seem to work similar shifts.
Jess starts flirting a bit with both Alexs as she thinks they're super cute and would be thrilled to go out with either one.
Alex starts to notices a cute repeat customer. As Alex has written her name down several times, they know that this girls name is Jess. After a while, Alex notices that Jess is flirting with them and one day, after writing down Jess's order and name, they also write their number. Alex is thrilled when Jess starts texting them but is greatly confused a few days later when Jess asks them for their number again. Alex gives Jess a bit of a weird look, but just writes their number down again.
Jess looks at the number and looks up in confusion. Jess pulls out her phone and compares Girl Alex's number to Boy Alex's number in her phone, confirming that they are the same. Jess starts to panic. She starts to wonder if she's been flirting with two siblings. That's not okay. But, she then wonders, why would siblings share the same phone?
Alex watches as Jess becomes more and more confused. They're unsure why Jess keeps looking at her phone and they're number. Did she forget to add them as a contact and accidently delete their texts? That didn't really make sense but Alex didn't know what to think.
"Do you guys have the same number?" Jess asked
Alex looked at Jess in confusion. "What?"
"You and your brother... Do y'all share a phone?"
"My brother?" Alex stared at Jess for a moment "I don't have a brother."
Jess sighed in relief. "Oh good. But, who is the other Alex that works here then? And why do you both have the same number?"
"Uhm... There isn't another Alex here. Just me."
Confusion spread across Jess' face once again. " But... I've seen him... He gave me this number"
Alex chuckled "I gave you that number"
"Well... Yes. Just now, but the other day the other Alex gave it to me. He wrote it on my drink."
Alex started laughing a bit harder, fighting to keep a straight face. "Jess... I wrote my number on your cup the other day. I've been the one texting you."
Realization hit Jess like a ton of bricks. "Oh. My. God. I'm and idiot. You're the same person..." Jess felt like her face was on fire.
"You thought I was two different people? You've been flirting with me for weeks."
Jess covered her face and then suddenly looked up with an excited look on her face. "This means I don't have to choose!! I just... Your so... I mean... I... Uhm" Jess paused in embarrassment. "Well... I uhm I think you're really attractive and I'm an idiot."
Alex looked at Jess like she was the most ridiculous and beautiful person on the planet. "You do still have to choose. Would you like to get dinner Friday or Saturday?"
