i honestly don't really understand why "some people prefer watching gameplay online rather than playing games themselves" is treated as such a taboo when being a spectator is considered a pretty mundane way to engage with most sports, game shows, reality tv or even just like. chess.

Going to add to this and proudly admit I am a gameplay watcher and it is so annoying to listen to gatekeepers act like it is a horrible offense to watch gameplay. I do not have money for a console or an actual computer. I do not even have a decent enough laptop to run fucking Sims 4. But☝️ I have access to YouTube for free and there are people who's entire livelihoods depend on playing video games, so why would I not indulge? Because of this i learn full storylines and game mechanics and I dont have to get frustrated by constantly losing. So no, I have not played either Spiderman games, any of resident evil, tlou, dying light, or basically any game without a mobile version. But I do know a shit ton of information about them and I have not been clocked by snobs who think they know better, because the actual important part of the game is the content. Anyway sorry for the ramble but I hate when people shame others for not being a "real fan" in any subject matter!!!

I know this is a deeply American thing to say but I am begging everyone to stay the fuck away from military recruiters. Especially high school kids. You are going to be seeing an unholy amount of them in schools or around schools or literally anywhere kids are known to congregate. THIS INCLUDES ALL FORMS OF ROTC. Stay the fuck away from military recruiters. As someone who’s familiar with entirely too many branches through entirely too many friends and family, including my partner, recruiters are authorized to say literally any fucking thing they think will make you sign on that line. They cannot and will not deliver on those promises. They need bodies for the war they’re pretending is only now starting up again. That’s all you are. A body. Stay the FUCK away from the military.
