Hello my lovelies, welcome. You can call me Prince, I'm a neurodivergent trans vampire man, you're welcome to become one of my children of the night. I'm an 18+ content creator, voice actor and illustrator. As well as a vtuber and variety streamer. I post bi-weekly asmr audio roleplay as various characters on Youtube, both fandom characters from things such as Baldur's Gate, Marvel, Arcane, Call of Duty and more, as well as original characters and scenarios. I post 2 exclusive 18+ audios every month over on my Patreon.

You’ll also see me voice acting, writing about, and drawing my original characters. I’ve made both character x listener audios for them, but also a 5-part audio drama series with no listener insert character and me voice acting 3 main characters. I have more plans for my ocs, and maybe one day I’ll start work on a visual novel idea.

Have you ever considered playing drunk characters in your audios? Like not violent drunk or anything like that I just imagine Ambrose being absolutely clingy and hugging listener every 5 minutes, crying when they say they need space but then start laughing XD. And I imagine Arden just lore dumping about Transformers and Werewolves while patting listeners head for absolutely no reason XD. Then listeners the only sober one who decides to deal with them both and make hot chocolate. XD

it doesn't take very long to check my audio request & commission guide before sending me an ask about what types of audios i would. because "alcohol" has always been on my 'will not record' list as it's a massive discomfort and trigger for me. i will not voice any character that is drunk, i will not voice any character that is talking to a listener-insert that is drunk. i don't find alcohol or being drunk funny or entertaining. i don't drink. i wouldn't even know how to act drunk, and i have no desire to learn. i don't want to think about any of my characters being drunk or anyone to send me headcannons or fanworks about my characters being drunk. it is also on my fanworks guide that i don't want to be sent/tagged in any fanworks that have my characters in a fanwork that contains alcohol.

here's the post where i give examples of musicals with different genres of music for people unsure if they like musicals, and favourite french musicals.

but i'll give a list of other favourite musicals because i didn't mention english language musicals i like. so i'll give a quick little list.

I’ve always been interested in musicals but don’t know where to start. My experience with them is very little having only seen 4 smaller productions a few years ago and only because my friends had lead roles in them.

Aside from Elizabeth Das musical and tanz Der vampire (are those are the right names? You’ve talked about both of them and I’m intrigued now), which I’m hoping to watch later this week when I have time, do you have any suggestions? Or other musicals you like? Do you have any suggestions for French musicals(it’s totally fine if you don’t though!)? Any language is fine, subtitles are there for a reason!

I’m also only looking for maybe one or two suggestions; you said in a response to a different ask from someone else that you’ve created a masterlist with 30(?) different musicals that I’ll happily go look through to see if any of them interest me!

oh boy okay (i say excitedly). if anyone's only watch one or a couple musicals, only watched movie musicals, hasn't liked any musical they've ever heard, doesn't think they like musicals, let me try and be your guide. and if afterwards they're just not for you because you don't like singing being a form of storytelling, then they're just not for you, though you might still like some of the songs from some musicals without wanting to watch the actual musical. because yes! you can just listen to an odd song from a musical and enjoy the song without liking the musical. there's musicals i don't really like that have one banger i like listening too.

i would say the biggest misconception about musicals from people who don't like them are that they are the same genre of music, that 'musical' is a genre of music. they think of 'the sound of music', animated disney musicals, 'the greatest showman'. but musicals don't have to be in a 'musical theatre' style. a musical can be in any genre. so let me run you through some genre's of music with some examples of musicals who's music is in that genre and if you love one of those genre's maybe you'd want to check out the musical. plenty of musicals are blends of multiple genres, but i'm trying to simplify for the sake of an easy list.

pop: six, mozart l'opéra rock (pop, pop-rock), le roi soleil, mean girls, mamma mia, moulin rogue, & juliet, mj the musical, legally blonde, hairspray

rock: jesus christ superstar, heathers, tanz der vampire, hair (pop-rock, psychedelic rock, funk), hedwig and the angry inch (glam rock, punk rock), rocky horror show (glam rock, pop-rock), spring awakening (alt-rock, folk-rock), we will rock you, american idiot, school of rock, bat out of hall, bloody bloody andrew jackson, rent, the who's tommy, lizzie the lizzie borden musical (punk-rock, metal)

jazz: 42nd street, anything goes, cabaret, chicago, just in time, little shop of horrors

folk: hadestown (folk, jazz), bright star, floyd collins,

hip-hop, r&b and rap: hamilton, 21 chump street, holler if ya hear me, in the heights (pop, r&b, salsa), hell's kitchen

orchestral traditional 'musical theatre' style: phantom of the opera, cats, anastasia, rodger and hammerstein's cinderella, into the woods, death becomes her, elisabeth das musical, wicked, natasha pierre and the great comet of 1812, les miserables

i haven't watched/listened too all the musicals on that list, some of them i don't like, but i wanted to include as examples in case someone else likes them.

but onto another question! french musicals! yes i have some, take them!

french musical theatre is... a little different. france doesn't have the big traditional musical theatre like you'd see on broadway or the west end. sometimes english musicals get french adaptations, but in terms of original french musicals, the majority are not traditional musicals. in the 90s/early 2000s original french musicals were more traditional classic musical theatre, but as the 2010s approached and since then, french musicals are pop concerts. or pop-rock concerts. they have a plot, sometimes the plot is stronger than others, they make music videos for the songs, they get played on the radio, french musical music videos have millions of views on youtube, the songs get more popular than the musical itself. these pop/pop-rock french musicals often do not have a live orchestra/band and instead have pre-recorded backing tracks.

my two favourite french musicals are 'mozart l'opéra rock' and 'roméo et juliette'.

mozart l'opéra rock. modern pop-rock musical. omg. if you want to try out any of the musicals on this list, try this one /nf. what if musical about wolfgang amadeus mozart, but inspired by the film amadeus so it's focused on some fictional relationship with fellow composer antonio salieri, and is say 'relationship' because they are so homoerotic in this musical, mozart kisses a man in the musical (not salieri though :<), salirei has a bdsm bisexual daydream where he gets groped by men and women and choked by a man when he listens to mozart's music for the first time. it really is something. lots of catchy pop-rock songs. fun costumes. here's the original 2010 version with english subtitles, and the 2011 version with english subtitles. 2010 has emo hair salieri, 2011 has long hair ponytail salieri, same actors playing mozart and salieri in both of them and same sets and costumes and everything. so pick which one you want to watch by salieri's hair i guess (the long hair omg).

roméo et juliette, a french musical adaption of romeo and juliet. a more traditional musical. it's had many translated versions in different countries that have also been popular (german, hungarian, russian, italian) and these other versions always change up some of the characters (some characters only appear in the original version and not later ones: death/la mort, the poet) and some have extra songs and larger roles (mercutio in the 2011 paris revival, paris in the 2004 hungarian production), and also the method in which characters die. i like the staging and costumes of the original french production the most (i still haven't watched the hungairan version so this may change), though i like mertucio in the 2011 paris revival (and has the best tylbalt/mercutio fodder, i do also prefer mercutio being in purple since he's not a member of either house unlike the og which put him in blue) and italian version. here is the original 2000 paris production with english subtitles (where i recommend starting and then give the revival and others a go if you want), the 2011 paris revival with english and french subtitles. and the italian version, no subtitles. . is it the strongest musical? no, it's a b tier for me, but i love some of the songs and damien sargue as roméo with his long hair in the original 2000 production gives me gender envy (as does mertucio in the 2011 revival).

since you just wanted a couple those are my two favourites... but other ones i enjoy songs from are:

notre dame de paris, a french musical adaption of the hunchback of notre dame, following the plot of the book and not the disney movie. the different coloured costumes are fun. french musicals do like to go crazy with dancing and gymnastics, and those are here. it doesn't manage to make me care about the characters, but i like some of the songs. here's the full show with subtitles in english/french/german/spanish/russian.

adam et eve. yes a pop-rock musical based on the bible story of adam and eve but set in a dystopian future. it has nothing in common with the bible story other than that there are characters called adam, eve, lilith and snake (who is a man, not a snake). there's far more popular french musicals than this one, but i can't help but have a soft spot for it because some of the songs are bangers and snake is... something. he's giving lucien from underworld but chaotic bisexual (not just in energy, he does get to kiss a man). here's the full show with english subtitles.

there's many other french musicals that exist that i personally don't enjoy. some i don't know anyone who enjoys them, but others are popular but i just personally don't like them (le roi soleil, 1789). i'll list them here because maybe others will like them. because again even the ones i don't like, their music videos have millions of views on youtube.:

1789 les amants de la bastille. pop-rock musical. set during the french revolution, has marie antoinette in it, many people like it, i personally didn't care about any of the characters and none of the songs stuck with me. here's the full show with english subtitles.

le rouge et le noir. pop-rock musical. based on the novel of the same name. i have watched it... can't remember anything about it. here's the full show, but no subtitles.

les 3 mousquetaires. 3 musketeers pop-rock musical. i have still not watched this one. here's the show with no subtitles.

le légende du roi arthur. king arthur and camelot legends pop-rock musical. have watched it, don't remember it other than florent mothe who played salieri in mozart l'opera rock plays king arthur. here's the show with english subtitles.

cléopartre la derniere reine d'egypte. cleopatra pop-rock musical. watched it, don't remember it. here it is with english subtitles.

autant en emporte le vent. pop-musical adaption of 'gone with the wind' so keep in mind it's set on a plantation during the american civial war and romanticises/glorifies all that stuff. this is on the list as i want to list every french musical i know of (or at least the ones i can find full videos of), i'm not endorsing those themes.

les dix commandements. based on the bible story of moses... just... maybe don't watch this... it's just 'the prince of egypt' but... not... good... yes thats my opinion, but as someone who watched this with a group of people and was the only one who had seen 'the prince of egypt', this stage musical doesn't explain any of the characters or plot well that i had to explain to everyone what was happening and who was who. but maybe it's a fun hate watch. all i remember is everyone being confused and also at one point there's just breasts on screen like one of the ladies is just topless after they're dancing in celebration of parting the red sea and you see nipples for like two seconds. i guess that was the highlight. i'd recommend instead watching the amazing animated masterpiece musical that is 'the prince of egypt'.

... i've been holding back... dracula l'amour plus fort que la mort... that's right.. there's a french dracula musical... and it's... insane. pop-rock musical. dracula doesn't speak or sing, he can only communicate through interpretive dance. at one point he and mina dance together and turn into cgi furries . i have shown that clip on stream before. because it's insane. here it is. there's no english subtitles. maybe it's better some of us not understand.

and if you want french language but not necessarily france, here's another dracula. dracula entre l'amour et la mort. it's french-canadian. and... i found it boring. they have a puppet of... someone. it's not the same plot as the book. the gang are like explorers? monster hunters? i don't remember. i think they made lucy into van helsing's daughter? i don't remember. that could all be wrong. it was created by bruno pelletier who also is playing dracula, who played grinogoire in the original notre-dame de paris. here's the full musical with english subtitles.

and that's all the french musicals i know of that i could find videos for. there are many more french musicals, i just wanted to focus on ones i could easily find on youtube or the internet archive.

my recommendation is the first two i said, if you want to branch out and try the others go for it. the french dracula is a fun hate-watch so-bad-its-funny. les dis commandements, the canadian dracula, le rouge et le noir... to me were bad in a boring/confusing way that makes me never want to watch them again. but don't let my opinion put you off something that sounds interesting to you, you might like them or at least like some of the songs.

this got long. i can't help it. european musicals (and of course more specifically elisabeth) is my biggest special interest soooo. which hey actually in 2022 elisabeth got it's first french language production at festival bruxellons in belguim, there's no full recording of it online you if you search 'elisabeth bruxellons' you'll find clips. tanz der vampire also had a french production in paris in 2014-15, again no full video, but if you search 'Le bal des vampires musical' you'll find clips and songs.

What's your favorite musical, and what would you recommend for someone looking into them?

elisabeth das musical. my special interest. a german-language austrian musical composed by a hungarian, dark gothic romance, 1800s setting, what if the empress of austria drew the attention of an inhuman androgynous pansexual personification of death who follows her and slowly falls in love with her (or does he? does he even know how to love?), and when rejected seduces her son, with gorgeous costumes and sets? if that tempts anyone. specifically the original 1992 production, because the more recent productions uh... got rid of the gorgeous set, toned down the costumes, erased the genderfluid/fem-presenting death scene, erased the gay kiss... so we don't need to talk about the current productions. you can just watch the original 1992 production with english subtitles here . TW/CW the musical contains depictions of mental illness, depression, suicidal ideation, suicide, an asylum scene, hanging, child neglect, fascism (in one song that shows the rise of fascism and why characters in the musical are afraid this song includes fascist characters being antisemetic and ending with the Nazi salute). death being there and seen by the characters in the musical is them longing for death, in both that they are falling in love with him/are attracted to him, but also in the metaphorical sense of suicidal ideation. so keep that in mind.

this might be silly and no pressure but have you considered making a panic attack/nightmare comfort audio of kinger from the amazing digital circus? i think he (and you) would be good at that ♥️

i personally don't like digial circus. nothing against it, i just watched the pilot when it came out and didn't find it funny or entertaining, it's just not my sense of humour and tbh anything with that kinda sense of humour just isn't something i find funny or understand. so no i wouldn't voice any characters from it.
