I don't really understand people who promote solitude or isolation. It seems to me that they've never truly experienced what it means to be alone. Human beings are social by nature we're meant to connect with others, and life's journey is much harder without someone by your side. In fact, isolation can be a form of punishment. It reminds me of the story of Ka'b ibn Malik, one of the three companions who stayed behind. Before his repentance was accepted, the people around him were told not to speak to him.
