Fascinated by the implication that asking if someone played AD&D is offensive. It is presumably impossible to play AD&D if you are under a certain age. It's banned you simply can't do it.

I think that remark is more the product of the weirdly common (on Tumblr, at least) notion that it's somehow offensive to imply that anyone is over the age of thirty. I didn't call it out at the time because it would have derailed a much more interesting line of questioning if I had, but that doesn't mean didn't notice it.

i am kinda peeved out that I can't enjoy most student art films from high profile art schools because of the statistics around black artists being in the low percentage often due to systemic barriers. it's another form of oppression I see rarely discussed. I do see a lot of black animators and the like but they are either indie or had to put in the work to even get in these schools and industry as a whole.
it makes sense as to why there lacks many stories with black protagonists that exists outside of stereotypes because they are often shelved or have lack of interests. or just, don't have the opportunities to be created.
i wanna make a character that's like that tumblrbait twink who's quirky and silly and goofy whose mistakes are always forgiven through his inept quirkyness but i wanna make him the villain, not the main character, and i want his ignorance to hurt people and his quirky response to hurt them more. i hate this fucking character type so fucking much
main characters like this should hurt people and for once learn that they can't be forgiven by acting like funny little blorbo birthday boys
That's a good idea. Now tell me about the main character? We should make him look like an absolute meathead henchman type. Like bald with a scar, and fat-buff. Ooh, let's also give him a prosthetic leg. But he saved the day through intelligence, strategy and being courteous and charming. Yay, subversion of tropes. And yay celebrating being a considerate person.
Now we need some names and a plot.

reading more game changer (heated rivalry book) with kyra and the overwhelming sense i get is that the book is in a rush to get to the good parts (smut) but then when you get to the smut its literally just "he sucked him good and hard through his jorts and then he comed everywhere and it was sexy." like im barely paraphrasing. and so the entire book has this sense of being rushed, but to what end? where is the good part? at least if the smut was hot I'd respect how fucked up the pacing is. but reading it makes me want to never have sex again. so like whats the point

like sorry I know most people have bad taste with most things, itās not new and in many cases Iām not surprised by a lot of it, but for some reason this is making me insane. this must only appeal to people who have never used the internet to look up smut before. and the rest of the book is just as bad. at least with fifty shades of grey there was the whole kink/BDSM element (as bad as it was) so like I understand that. but I guess being gay is also kinky and āout thereā for a mainstream audience so maybe thatās why. idk. Iām just at a loss for words. it is an actual scam to present this book as a professionally written and edited work
