SIFFRIN INFO: Pretty much canon but slightly to the left, Siffrin is based on the events of ISAT and an AU at the same time. They respect the party, adore Bonnie and may or may not be slowly starting to return Isabeau's feelings towards them. Has a love/hate relationship with Loop. May throw in some Irish when responding to people; translations will be as accurate as Admin can make them and will be provided at the end of the post.

Wish Craft is taught to children as young as five. As Wish Craft is very finicky, a majority of kids' wishes won't be granted until they start getting it right, by which point they're ideally old enough to not waste the Craft on trivial things.

God I fucking love when people ask about the mini AU this is based in (not what you meant? TOO LATE!!)

As I described in another ask, Siffrin's dual Ink Type. However Crafting Ink is a pain in the neck (need to get something wet on your hands first) and wears them out faster than Scissors Craft. What this means is Siffrin holds back on Ink Craft unless it's a life-or-death situation.

This lasts until about middle of Act 3/beginning of Act 4, when they stop giving a particular damn about restraint as the loops go on. But I digress

Because of the amalgamation of Wish Craft, Time Craft and Ink Craft, Siffrin smells...Interesting. Imagine somebody tried to make caramel candy, set it on fire and decided to put it out using a bottle of ink. It's not an obvious smell, but Isabeau probably notices it every night because he sleeps right next to them. He never brings it up, because confrontation is scary, but by loop 100 Siffrin notices he's craning his head away from them a little bit. You can imagine how good that makes them feel about himself!

Everything tastes like sugar and ink in later loops, also. It takes longer to kick in, and they can avoid some of it by changing up what snacks he eats; but later loops make everything smell and taste like ink and sugar. It's like perpetually poisoning yourself.

Not a fun way to live.

Some smaller tidbits:

Ink Craft is totally useless on Rock Types. You're splattering ink on a rock. nothing's gonna happen.

It's not super useful on Scissor Types, either; though it can have a corrosion effect if Siffrin throws enough Craft into it.

Mirabelle has a chance of clocking Siffrin's Ink Craft before anyone else in later loops. Siffrin can leave inky smudges on everything they touch, gloves be damned; and if he checks every book then Mirabelle may notice that every book he pulled down is marked by something...Oh Change Siffrin are you bleeding let me see

Easily one of the most well-written and emotionally compelling nby characters I've come across. I also appreciate that they don't entirely shy away from having "gendered" traits since he uses he/they and seems to like wearing dresses.

That's a kid!!! Who brought a kid to a tumblr poll!!!

They're a chef, a friend and a little sibling!!

They/them 10 year old who has mad cooking skills, they are too iconic to lose

they have so so much guilt about people getting hurt for them.

Bonnie is such a crabbing cool character listen UP!!!! They're so well-written, they have a lot of big emotions that a kid their age should not have to deal with and are handling them as you'd expect (struggling and lashing out at times). They're doing their best to help out and though they'll act distant toward Siffrin they DO care (this is actually why they're distant in the first place, they're upset about his eye) and this facade quickly melts away whenever they think Siffrin is hurt/upset/in danger. They're part of the Opposite Sides of the Age Spectrum Alliance (They call it 'The Opposite Sides of the Age Specter Allies!") they have such cute banter with all the other characters and are generally a very fun character I love them so much please listen to me Bonnie needs to win. I don't want to spoil anything but I hope I've given enough reasons without spoiling the game too much for anyone who wants to play !!

Travels with their party to save Vaugarde from being frozen in time. is the primary “chef cooker” of their party, and manages food and consumables throughout your journey through the house. names all their moves purely based on cool factor, ie “billion blows technique”, “wolf speed technique”, “fortress building technique”. after running for days from their time frozen village at their sister’s behest, ran into the blessed hero’s party and forced them to take them along. is very attached to the party’s rogue/traveler, is the reason they lost their eye, and blames themself. is an incredibly well written and believable kid. has amazing chemistry with their party. swears the most out of everyone

Please Siffrin not winning again will be the funniest thing ever and them losing to another member from the same media. But also, because we rarely mention Bonnie in this fandom AND that needs to change even for a little while. PLUS, IT'S BONNIE THEY'RE SO CUTE AND AWESOME AND A VERY IMPORTANT CHARACTER TOO. Also, legit propaganda is they're unironically a very well flushed out character, especially for a child character whose high energy.

Chickens are the most accurate with the buk-buk-buk noise, and baby chicks do in fact go "peep", but the "peep" is really more of a squeaky beEEP and adult hens will also bwuAAAAAAAAAAK-AUK-AUK-AUK-AUK.

Roosters do NOT "cock-a-doodle-doo", though. Roosters ER ER-ER ER ERRRRRRRR and they will do it at all ungodly hours of the day from sunrise to sunset.

Cows, again, pretty close with "Moo", but it feels like it needs an "r" in there somewhere. Like mmMMOUuuuure.

Sheep. Sheep really do actually "baa". I can't argue with that. Though an adult might also Phbrbobrbr, and a lamb will mostly MAAAH.

Horse sounds like NH-Hh-Hh-Hhr, or Pphft, or RIIIIII if shit's going down. So I guess "neigh" is fine.

Pigs. Pigs... they'd cab say oink, but only 'cause I don't know how to spell a deep, phlegmy sinus snort with English letters. f'gĥŭrhk, maybe. Pigs are beyond mortal laws.

i am SO glad somebody asked because i've had a friend nag me to talk about it off and on for months

so it all started when

-*TRUCK DRIVES BY, BLARING ITS HORN*-

and now Siffrin's dual Ink Type :>

this means they have a sort of chronic illness. if they feel a certain emotion very strongly, they may cough up ink, "cry" ink or just bleed ink from everywhere: eyes, nose, mouth, even ears. it's great fun for him because now they have to wrangle their emotions so he doesn't fucking die by suffocating

howEVer. there is an upside, however small it may be. Ink can really fuck up Paper Types via a sort of corruption: splashing ink on a Paper Sadness seems to discombobulate them or slow them down. (Luckily he can still touch Mirabelle and Odile and they'll be fine, he actively needs to Craft to actually do any damage.) This can also "drain" him of ink, which means if he's starting to bleed from every opening he can throw ink at people and be more or less okay

"Do they have to s/h to" no, it is similar to other Crafts, if a little awkward. Siffrin has to get something wet onto their hand; water, sweat, spit or tears do the trick just fine. Bonus points if they get their actual ink onto his hands as it's more likely to slow down whoever they're fighting.

Whether or not Siffrin's started to literally bleed ink from wounds, they have no idea, as everything smells like sugar and ink anyway. None of the other party members have commented on it; but ink probably looks a lot like blood when your can only see in black and white...

As for Siffrin's question. For the sake of having fun, I'm going to give them knowledge of Pokémon just because.

(Mudbray has some of Bonnie's vibes. They're both stubborn, Rocky Types, are full of energy and want to bring about justice. Bonnie likes horses, and they carry so much anyway; a Mudbray and a cart would give them more independence. Maybe their sister would have a Ponyta to counter it?)

(Lucario also evolves out of friendship, and they look like they'd be Rock Type. If anyone can evolve a Rock Type that evolves with friendship, it'd be Isa. He befriends everybody.)

(Espurrs are fabled to see the future with their wide eyes. A Pokémon with future sight would help Mirabelle with her anxiety, as it could guide her if she needs help that the rest of the party can't give. Plus, she thinks creatures with big eyes are cute.)
