But what Chuck wrote can’t be undone. The narrative thread pulls Dean along, forcing him to comply. Because once a story already has an ending, it can’t be rewritten.

MMMMMMM i thought we mostly got over this trend years ago but ever since Jensen had his “Dean didn’t know that Cas could feel that way because he’s an angel” thing I’ve seen a slowly creeping trend of associating romantic and sexual feelings with being human in posts and fic.
Friendly reminder that the lack of sexual or romantic attraction is not automatically inhuman.
If you think that Castiel doesn’t or didn’t experience sexual or romantic attraction at a certain point, please don’t write that it’s because he’s not human. There’s plenty of other angels that were shown to be capable of sexual attraction (Balthazar, Gabriel) and romantic attraction (Anna, Serafina).
Castiel is the way he is because he’s Castiel.
Just double-check that what you’re writing isn’t aphobic please and thank!!!
And flip side, please don’t use the argument that because he’s human he’ll experience romantic or sexual attraction as a matter of course. Cas is Cas whether he’s human or an angel; don’t use the argument of him being an angel for why he doesn’t experience romantic or sexual attraction and don’t use the excuse of him being human to say he does.
Basically, don’t equate humanity with romantic and sexual attraction, regardless of which angle you’re coming from with it.

Destielgate
I think the weirdest thing about this Destielgate is that some people act as if this is drama exclusively for hardcore Destiel shippers. It certainly is not. I’m not apart of the supernatural fandom, but how supernatural handled Destiel seriously affects me as someone of the LGBTQ+ community. In fact, it affects literally anyone who understands the significance of Destiel. None of my friends watch supernatural, and yet everyday we talk about the newest Destielgate updates and every single day we talk about how ridiculous it is that they are trying to cover up the Spanish dub and how hurt we are that queer characters are being treated like this.
I get updates about Destielgate from my queer discord book club where only like, 2 people have watched supernatural and none are actually dedicated fans of Supernatural. Despite all this we have in depth conversations about what is going on and trade the information we have discovered and we all are basically waiting in suspense to see what is going to happen to Destiel. Because how this ends, affects all of us. I feel like the episode writers, or CW, or whoever was in charge of this did not fully understand the impact of having lead characters of an extremely popular tv show come out as queer. I feel like they truly had no idea what they were getting into and no idea how important it was to the LGBTQ+ community that it is handled well. Because when I say queer representation saves lives? It LITERALLY saves lives but depending on how you handle it, it could have the opposite affect.
What truly baffles me is that Destiel did not need to become canon. Destiel shippers would have ben relatively fine with the ship not sailing because that is the nature of ships; they are almost never canonized. But they decided to make it canon in the most homophobic way possible. Yes, any representation is good, but what some do not understand is that a character declaring his love, not having his love reciprocated, immediately getting sent to Mega Turbo Super Hell (the empty) and then never being mentioned again except in a throw away line? Never being grieved over? Never having any resolution? these things that happened after the confession was a rapid devaluing of a character that was apparently very important before that episode. As soon as he declared his love for Dean, he was stripped of the value that the show had been putting on him. Castiel, a character who was well loved and an integral part of the storyline suddenly does not matter to people who previously would have died and/or killed for him right after he declared his love for Dean? That is where the problem lies. That rapid devaluing of Castiel as a character sends a clear message to any queer person watching the show: they do not matter. They are not valued or wanted and its better to stay silent than to speak your truth. It is better to be a closeted gay than openly queer because when you come out you could lose everything.
Yet another Bury Your Gays ™ trope (with the huge chance of there being queer censorship) is the business of literally all of us in the LGBTQ+ community. This is not about a Supernatural ship anymore, it is about whether or not blatant homophobia and queer censorship will continue to go unchecked. It is about whether big companies will decide that queer lives are more important than money. It is about the LGBTQ+ community no longer being something inconveniencing, but rather something precious.

Okay so here’s my notes on this now that I’ve had a moment to come down:
- This appears to be filmed on a studio rig, complete with episode timestamp
- There are conflicting takes on if this is or isn’t Dean’s voice actor, but it is certainly Castiel’s voice actor
- S14 hasn’t even aired in Italian yet, BUT it is known they ARE working on S15 right now anyway, so the timing matches.
- There IS the possibility of an actual “rogue dubber” in this case, in a product that hasn’t been fully reviewed, temporarily clipping something in for giggles.
- However, that isn’t confirmed either, and we’re going to pick apart the audio on this more closely.
- It is fair to be wary. Responsible even. After all the “conspiracy theory” talk and a CW employee proving in the past they will make sock accounts to try to “troll” fans, in theory this would be a perfect way to try to devalue the entire dialogue.
- However, that also isn’t proven, and we need to look at a proper diagnostic.
- There are reports that multiple twitter copies of this have been buggy or deleted, which is super bizarro. I don’t know what to make heads or tails of that on.
- The video has been saved, so honestly if anyone IS interfering they should probably stop because it just makes it look worse.
- But again, don’t jump to conclusions.
I’m italian and we didn’t even have s14 airing yet, we’re not s15 until the second half of 2021 and I don’t think someone would risk leaking it especially with everything that’s going on right now so yeah I wouldn’t trust it that much ://
I’m going to point out a flaw in this particular logic, even if I regard this leak with caution:
S14 not airing yet has nothing to do with it–S15 *has* been worked on for dubbing and that *is* in the very least Castiel’s voice actor. People are weirdly splitting hairs that /Cas/ sounds different at the “I love you”, when that’s an actual line even in the original and inflection can *really* impact things. Even in english there were a few parts where Castiel sounded more like Misha than Cas due to the emotion, like I don’t even do Cockles but damn that Cockles line was thin.
It’s Dean’s line we’re looking to dig up receipts on but to get to point addressing this reply:
If they’re already dubbing, as we know they are, and if this WAS real, leaking this *now* would be an act of defense against network notes demanding a redubbing in light of everything currently happening. Eg, save the content before it’s changed by mandate.
Which is why it’s so damn important to analyze the audio now. Whether to bunk it or debunk it, if this is real, this is a warning flag/receipt left behind.
Still regarding with caution but the above comment really fails to understand what “with everything going on right now” entails.

This is definitely both Castiel and Dean’s voice actors.
Okay, so: op is definitely Italian. Everything about the Tumblr account is default, their icon, the header, the theme. Their settings are also default (show following, show likes, ask and submit disabled, messages open). Blog’s title is default Italian, they’re following both Tumblr staff and the Italian Tumblr staff, which is what Tumblr does when you make an account (follow staff and the localized staff account). Even their blog’s time zone is the default set by Tumblr (US/Eastern). I So at least we know that if this is a troll, it’s originating from Italy (or someone using a vpn to pretend to be from Italy, which, honestly, occam’s razor, they’re probably just Italian).
Video shows no signs of having been edited, meaning that if the lines were edited op had to first fake the entire thing, then set it up on a tv, then record it again on their phone to upload it. If it’s fake, someone put a LOT of work into faking it.
The waveform reveals nothing suspicious, but it being recorded on a phone, it’s impossible to divide the audio channels like we normally do (or more accurately, the audio channels show this definitely wasn’t added post-phone-record). However, a sharp listen in Audacity shows nothing that would indicate a hitch in the content.
If this *is* a fake, someone went to *ridiculous lengths* to make this fake. you would have to isolate the background music from the original scene and remove the original spec, find times the voice actors had said exactly the same words in supernatural or elsewhere and remove any extraneous music or sound effects from that, redub the scene very precisely as a dubbing artist would to mirror lip movements and SO ON.
So whoever this is: Is Italian Has access to the current dub work Has access to a studio rig the dub work is presumably being done on And either took a ridiculous amount of time isolating all of the above just to fake this or… well, saw it and recorded it.
Points to kinda debunk it: The monitor it’s playing on looks old? But if you look up the studio they do have some older equipment? And it would be hella weird to go so far as to MAKE THIS FAKE AND PUT IT ON A FAKE OLD MONITOR?
An email has been sent to the dubbing company.

Keep in mind: this proves nothing. It does not give PROVEN authenticity, but I’m bundling a bunch of the common complaints about it as we CAN address them. Others will need deeper review.
