Detective Pat Kennedy: The reason why he killed people was to keep them with him, & now by eating the body, not only was he keeping them with him, but he was actually eating them & making this person part of him, so they were with him forever. They were one with Jeff. Although it sounds bizarre & incredible, at the time that he told me this story, I must admit, it made perfect sense to me. That means that I am crazy too. Although I didn’t agree with any of it, it seemed like a logical subsection to what he did.

The reason to why he killed his family was because he didn't want them to hear about a planned school attack where he would go to waller high school where a prep rally was taking place in the gymnasium he was planning to either enter the gymnasium and kill over 70 people and then himself or wait till they were leaving but backed out as the situation "became too real"

He did say that for the motive he didn't want his family to know or to spare them the embarrassment but in another police interview he says that's not true and says he doesn't know why the reports are saying that or something (ill post the clip) and says it was because they were the first human targets in sight so idk

At work earlier the guy working the bar with me was chatting with me when it wasn't busy and I'd mentioned reading a Bundy book that was good the other week (he spoke about books and I mentioned this) and then I said jokingly "I actually am obsessed with killers I think they're so interesting" and this boy thought I said The Killers (the band)😭 and started talking about them, I didn't even correct him coz he got so excited I mentioned them💀
