I love this dude, I've been writing a long piece about his major arc (it's 18 pages so far and like getting to half-way done, it's been a while since I've written don't judge me) Arthur is raised in a cult of Xammux to be their next "Prophet" eventually shenanigans happen and he's out of the cult but Xammux is ticked with him, so he ends up going on a journey of self-discovery that lands him in the Ilmatari Church.

Makes a pact with the broken god himself and bing bang- his soul is saved from eternal torture. Proud of you Artie :,]

Alistair Steven Hale

An oc from my video game Collapse! He's one of the world representatives of Facsimul, known as an Albetrude. Alistair and his three other brothers (Remus, Marcomir, and Nathaniel) serve as ambassadors between their planet's 6 major nations along with being the representatives of their planet in any galactic conference. Alistair works closely with Remus, who is Head Justice, specifically on any potential punishment- which is rare since Remus is known for a rehabilitation-focused justice system. He also works with Nathaniel as a public-speaking face, often preparing his younger brother's speeches or filling in if his younger brother cannot make it. Sometimes, though rarely, he assists Marcomir with the planet's funding; basically double checking any numbers for Marco. Alistair essentially spends most of his time as a flexible role, filling in where his brothers fall short, much to his perpetual frustration.

It took less time than my last piece yet it feels like it took WAY longer.

Alistair is a former theatre goth, which is why he's able to fill in for Nathaniel on even the shortest of notice. He had wanted to do musical theatre but with the world's conflicts being as drastic as they were in early adulthood, he instead fell into his role as a politician.

In current times, only does his make up for any televised conferences, mostly using make up to cover up how unhealthy he actually looks. Alistair struggles immensely with his mental health, instead of getting any help however, he just kinda bottles it up. Just like the John Mulaney Irish Emotions bit.

What's up with the gem?

aka, a quick diversion to explain his race

I'm so glad you asked! He's apart of an endangered race of plant people that I'm currently calling Longaevus, like many of the names of things currently it's just a demo name. Their gems act as a weird sort of heart/brain/soul type feature I haven't fully worked out their biology yet. Alistair's gem is a ruby that's supposed to feature a marquise cut but drawing gems are hard. With it's placement being in the center of his forehead, he's able to harness psionic capabilities. Some of the notable things he can do is; teleport, create many false images of himself, and shoot energy beams! What a cool guy!

Gem placement naturally occurs as the fetal Longaevus grows, ultimately determining some of the things they can do once ready to be harvested. Longaevus are planted after a seed is produced, a plant will grow from the seed fully blooming once the baby is able to be harvested from the ground. Some will plant their children in normal terracotta pots, while others will try to plant them in transparent pots- in hopes of watching their kids grow, though typically this doesn't work as there's a lot of dirt in the way.

The plant is usually a flowering plant especially in modern day. Alistair's flower is spider lilies, thus the decor motif when I base my profile around him.
