Its so unfair that Destiel is legit an amazing ship. Like if you haven't watched spn and only know it through social media you might think "ah its probably exegerated. Sure it was queerbait and the angel was in love but it wasnt THAT special" but then you watch the show and its like. No, yeah, these two dudes have Shakespearian level of romantic drama and narrative importance. All their plots have deeply romantic undertones. They have intense eye-contact no other ship has come close to having. Truly Castiel's confession doesn't even reach the top 5 romantic/gay things Destiel has done in the show.

it is really funny to me tho that john has a complete non-reaction to the fact that they are living with quote "an angel and lucifer's kid." like so many lebanon fics focus on dean / destiel trying to hide the fact that cas and jack even live there or that they're not human and like don't get me wrong i do enjoy seeing those things explored in fics but like, canonically john was like just like. ok cool moving on. it IS pretty funny. also dean (and sam) tell him upfront. it's like one of the first things they talk about. dean's like yea no i'm not hiding my family i don't care what my dad thinks i'm literally 40 and this is my home
