A week ago I had a dream. In this dream I saw a beautiful pendant in form of wooden heart.

On the one side of the heart there were angelic wings made of metal, on the other side the name of my girlfriend was written. I decided to draw the pendant and you can see it in the first picture.

The second picture is of course a portret of my dear angel.

The gnomes come from Northen mythology. In Poland there are similar creatures called krasnoludki or krasnale. The word ludek means "small human". The krasny can be understood in two ways. It's an old adjective, sometimes it means something beautiful or pretty, sometimes refers to red color. Following second interpretation krasnoludki are often depicted in the red hats.

When the English term dwarf is translated into Polish, usually the word krasnolud is used. It's a neologism, coined from krasnoludek. At least some Slavic languages have an augmentative. Based on one word, speaker can create a new, which will express bigger size, older age, sometimes negative atribution etc. The krasnolud is exactly the augmentative.
