I'm so pissed off that the movement which villainizes and infantilizes trans men and erases nonbinary and intersex people is being called "transfeminism"
Because I think we do need a feminist movement that focuses on trans people!

And creating a system like TMA and TME is such a bullshit and unhelpful way to do that
Like "yes we will put everyone into two boxes, "good oppressed real trans woman" and "evil malfunctioning women who we all hate and deserve to be murdered with guns". someone was talking about how it's weird that their tmasc friend is uncomfortable using the men's restroom when they pass and this is an example of "afab privilege"

it's almost like the discrimination/misogyny one has faced from not being born a perisex man doesn't go away simply from being trans and transitioning into a man
it's almost like going into spaces that were technically built for cisgender perisex men is subjecting yourself to more situations where abuse can happen due to not being born a perisex man
it's almost like the very idea of "afab privilege" being a thing is misogynistic in itself
it is genuinely concerning to me how many people on this website don't think hating on trans men is transphobic.

“Where are the trans men in history?” See. When you're born a gender that was forcefully married off, who had to live most of their life indoors, when you had to raise children, and had a lobotomy if your family thought you were a tad too odd, it's kinda hard to come out as a trans man now ain't it.
Tumblr "transfeminists" (aka TRFS) come in two varieties:
1. People who either got bullied by the mean girls clique or wanted to be part of the mean girls but never got a chance to (typically transfems and trans women) and now that they're perceived as gals, they're catching up on lost youth by being the mean girls now.
2. Former mean girls who loved the rush and want to keep the high of being terrible to people alive (typically transmascs and trans men)
hey so we can talk about trans men. we can make art featuring trans men. we can headcanons characters as trans men. we can discuss the politics and oppression surrounding being a trans man. we can talk about loving trans men. and this does not take away from trans women, we can talk about trans men. its ok
