Fellas, I know I'm late, but where can I read more fics of Protagoneil? I've watched Tenet almost ten times already. I need Neil in my life.

I see a lot of hate directed at Regulus from certain corners of the fandom, mostly those who tend to hate Jegulus, so they find faults in Regulus (not James, never James, since he's usually the second half of their preferred ship). "He was a Death Eater, he was evil, he was blood-thirsty, he was cruel," blah blah blah. First off, we literally know nothing about him firsthand from canon. He's six sentences and a locket. Second, he was repeatedly described as soft, idiot (by Sirius), or brave (by Kreacher). Third, most importantly, he was a child. Brainwashed by toxic rhetoric and likely fighting to get his parents' approval. The first thing he did when he could think for himself was go against a cult of Dark Mages, sacrificing himself in the process. Regulus Black deserved better, is all I'm saying, and he deserves our compassion.

I've seen a blog post about Regulus being overrated and not being a hero recently. It's a bit annoying 😖 Some people think Snape is a hero, so who are we to judge, right?

Regulus is definitely my favorite character. Perhaps it's because I'm the youngest sibling in my family, and I know all too well what it's like when your older siblings speak of you in a less-than-favorable light, or dismissively, as if you're an "idiot and too soft". There's a hint of understatement in his story, that's why we love him as well. 😭

Although, for me, just two sentences about him were enough to understand that he wasn't a bad guy, but a deeply unhappy boy living in his brother's enormous shadow. Because people didn't join Riddle's DE out of great love; he attracted those who were looking for recognition, to be loved.

And in my eyes, Regulus is a hero after all. If we could continue parallelism with Harry from a book — he was almost a school boy, who got disappointed of Voldemort, his closest wise and smart like parent figure, I think.

In the end, Harry could have ended up like him if not for his friends. They both sacrifice themselves for others. I don't really think Kreacher was a real reason for Regulus sacrificial.

i knew some of what would come up in the rots novelization but nothing could have prepared me for just how much love there is in this. implied as well as plain and spelled out. padme asks obi-wan if he loves anakin. palpatine asks anakin if he loves obi-wan more than he loves padme. obi-wan just goes right out and says he loves anakin multiple times, right to the end as he's facing darth vader. obi-wan pulls anakin back from a furious meltdown just by softly saying his name. as soon as they're apart they miss each other like a limb. obi-wan thinks about he'd like to tease anakin in the middle of a deathly fight. anakin, at one the lowest points of his life, says that all he needs his obi-wan to guide him back to the light. obi-wan can't imagine a better way to spend the rest of his life than looking out for anakin's son, alone in the desert. and all this is only, like, half of it. i need to get my hands on whatever matthew stover was smoking when he wrote this

So, I read a lot of Kakashi-centric fanfiction. It's great. I love that there are entire subgenres within Kakashi fanfiction as well as details and tropes that keep coming up so often and feel so natural that they feel like canon even though they're not. One of those very common tropes is Kakashi's attitude when it comes to getting medical treatment and staying at hospitals.

Fanfiction Kakashi, almost entirely without fail absolutely hates hospitals and will do anything in his power to avoid going there and if he has to go he'll try to escape at first opportunity. If anyone tries to tell him to rest up and heal he'll argue against them or lie to hide or minimize injuries. I don't think I've ever read a piece of fanfiction where Kakashi needs medical treament where he's just.. chill about it. Ever.

Which is funny because canon Kakashi is very much chill with it. He submits so, so easily to care it's ridiculous. He'll also obey the mildest of orders as if they were law and apologize for causing trouble or making people worry.

Kakashi is so fucking meek and obedient when in need of care and it's really sweet and sad and wholesome in comparison to the hardcore self sacrificing soldier who grits his teeth through every kind of pain that I'm used to reading about. I don't think it's wrong in any way that he gets written like that. It obviously has its appeal and makes for more exciting stories than regular old hospital stays. The contrast is so funny though, I mean, look at him!

This is the peak of canon Kakashi's hospital complaints. He doesn't even say that last thing out loud. The nurse has already left when he dares to wish for things to be different, quietly in his own mind...

Canon Kakashi sure grits his teeth through pain during a fight but afterwards? Back to bed...

Guess that's how it goes indeed Kakashi. It goes like that every time.

Canon Kakashi uses his hospital time well by reading smut and coming up with genius ideas, all while wearing his slutty hospital outfit (also known as his pyjamas / ANBU uniform / all-purpose undershirt). He does not try to escape and he's not above telling Naruto he needs to be patient because sensei needs his hospital time. Good for him I say.

I do enjoy reading a Kakashi who would rather eat rusty nails than receive medical care though <3

I think this attitude make a lot of sense. I mean where else he can go instead of the hospital? Home? That empty room, where he has worst nightmares without medicine, where he must take care of himself and see how lonely he is?

I feel like Obito couldn’t understand Kakashi’s reluctance towards the Eye of the Moon plan because, to him, his old team was the only family he ever had. He may have been closest to Rin, but while he was in the cave, he never talks about her in isolation. Every time he talks about going home, he’s referring to everyone, and specifically to both of his friends. White Zetsu even comments that he was saying both their names in his sleep. When he sees a sample of his dream world, it’s Team Minato, Minato included. He seems disturbed by Rin saying “I won’t ignore you,” (rightfully so, because even he knew that wasn’t her). He loved her, certainly, she was the center of his world, but she wasn’t the only person he searched for connection with. He even asked Madara “What am I to you” because he wanted so desperately to have anyone who loves him (Rin was the only person who ever made him feel loved, I think)

But Kakashi barely talks about Minato or Rin. He’s completely monomanic about Obito, and he always was. He stands at the memorial stone, where both Rin and Obito’s names are engraved, but Yugao asks him, “Paying respects to Obito?”. When Rin first tells him “kill me”, he says “I promised Obito I’d protect you”, as if that’s the most important argument. Is that not an insane thing to tell your friend? I can’t kill you because I promised someone else I wouldn’t, someone who actually cared for you? And in Obito’s illusion, he makes Rin say “I love you” to Kakashi, and he conjures an “ideal version of himself”, but Kakashi is literally crazy!! He could not care less what Obito became!! He was still in denial, “You’re a Konoha hero” even after realising he’s behind damn near every horrible thing to happen for the last 20 years!! Obito should have been more creeped out by that tbh

thinking about the beautiful world where obito is the team 7 sensei instead of kakashi.

naruto would get a sensei he likes way more than he ever liked kakashi. he got so attached to obito in such a short time and his anger when zetsu insulted him vs him not even caring that kakashi was killed by pain (lmao)

sasuke would get a sensei who can train him better as an uchiha without collapsing and ending up in the hospital. plus he never even bothers to call him sensei.

sakura would get a sensei who actually bothers to train her instead of just projecting rin on her and leaving her with tsunade. their team up in kaguya’s dimension to save sasuke >>

things would be so much better. kakashi was a subpar teacher (if you can even call him that) and his students were all trained by the sannin instead of him. kakashi can instead go back to committing state sponsored murder in anbu or waste his time with gai to nurture their healthy rivalry and the kids would get a teacher they actually like.

Can anyone confirm to me with facts that Lady Jessica really manipulated her son? Because we can clearly see that she told Paul everything in the first movie even before they got to Arrakis. He knows that the Bene Gesserit rules from the shadows. He's not a victim; he knows how to convince everyone of the prophecy.

Why does everyone love to slander this woman? They just wanted to survive, and Paul wanted to avenge his father. I only see this from the films.

I haven't read the books, so maybe it's different there, I don't know. But that's the picture the films portray. So...

Guys, I think Hero Fiennes Tiffin should play Sirius Black.

I mean...he definitely grew up from boy Voldemort and he also is a Scorpio as Sirius.

That was literally the first time I saw a good casting on marauders. I love Ben Barns, but he wasn't my version of Sirius Balck. Just simply couldn't see it.

So my weird choice is Hero Fiennes. And yes I know he played in the films, but like 🤷‍♀️
