Placements I love together with a Sagittarius Sun 🏹
Scorpio Venus: a scorpio venus brings a lot of depth and seriousness to a playful sun placement. I love this combination because Sagittarius suns are naturally curious and a scorpio venus can compliment that curiosity beautifully with their intuitive nature and urge to get the facts straight.
1st house Mars: Sagittarius isn’t necessarily a sign that lacks boundaries but the boundaries can shift quite a lot. That’s why I enjoy a 1st house Mars with a sag sun that also supports and matches their drive to grow and evolve.
Pisces Moon: maybe an unpopular take but I genuinely love fire suns with water moons. Especially if they’re in the same modus (aries sun, cancer moon/leo sun, scorpio moon/sagittarius sun/pisces moon). Particularly with combination has a very hilarious but slightly off putting sense of humor. A lot of their trauma is being processed through half serious jokes, which can come across as weird in childhood/teenage years but tbh it’s a great, healthy and consistent coping mechanism.
2nd house Venus: Sagittarius suns tend to care a lot about their freedom and independence. Not because they don’t want a relationship, but it usually took them a lot of strength to enforce boundaries and become self sufficient. That’s why I like well placed Venuses for sag suns (7H too!). Especially 2nd house Venuses provide a lot of stability and don’t necessarily focus on getting into a relationship but rather finding a partner who can see eye to eye.
Capricorn Mercury: Sagittarius suns can be inconsistent at times, which usually manifests itself in a lot of frustration with themselves or even other people. That’s why I love a sag sun, cap mercury combination with stability and kind of self guidance.
7th house moon: a moon placement that can make sagittarius suns feel very comfortable in a relationship and not as though they’re giving up their independence. Yes, it shifts the emotional focus on a relationship and partnership but it also allows for emotional vulnerability towards other people.
Earth Rising: earth risings place a sag sun into a “water ruled“ house if we assume whole sign for simplicity reasons. Taurus rising = 8H Sag sun, Virgo rising = 4H Sag sun, Capricorn rising = 12H Sag sun. Sagittarius is a very open minded, intuitive and spiritual sign. The vibe that people with this combination give me is always kind of magnetic, lowkey whimsical, magical. Truly addicting and unique.
5th house Mercury: this Mercury house placement really emphasizes Sagittarius‘ nature and creative problem solving. With Sag suns, we have 3 Mercury options: Scorpio, Sagittarius or Capricorn. With a Scorpio or Capricorn Mercury in the 5th house, there’s a lot more consistency and common ground to align with their Sagittarius Sun.
Aquarius Mars: Mars in aquarius matches Sagittarius sun‘s unconventional approach and supports the creativity and sometimes even random ideas. At the same time it provides a lot of logic and approaches that tend to be very well thought through without abandoning their own intuition and solely relying on facts.
Basically I like when there’s garlic and onion
I'm happy that there are published books with aro protagonists in them at all, but I think the reason none of them have really resonated with me is that said protagonists are just... way too nice about being aromantic. sure, they might complain that it's annoying when their friends get into relationships, they might criticize societal expectations around marriage, but at the end of it all they always say "I don't experience attraction but I can appreciate it when it happens to someone else!"
where's the rage! where's the spite! where's the thinking about amatonormativity so hard you want to destroy everyone who's ever been in a relationship! hell to couples heaven to singles let aros be mean
what if we admitted to each other that it's not always really romance that we want. What if we admitted that what we're really craving is intimacy and society taught us romance is the only way to get it.
