babygirl I'm bothered by noises you wouldn't even hear
there’s a guy in my neighborhood with a cyber truck and i see him standing around it sometimes in the morning and when i do i always make it a point to walk right by him and then start checking out the completely normal car next to it. and the second or third time he shot me a look that said “i know what you’re doing motherfucker”. absolute best moment of that week.
There's a guy with a cybertruck in my small ass rural southern town, and there's a private local facebook page where all the country guys with jacked up pickups (or any pickup actually capable of doing hauling and work) just park directly beside it to take pictures making fun of how small and inferior the cybertruck is to any real truck and it pisses the guy off SO bad
this is my buddy joey, we consider him a lesser form of life
a lot of you need better friends

'do you think you're superior for not using AI in your work' thank you for asking! yes i do
Cheating at chess by fucking the queen and halfway through the game she gives birth to a whole new piece no one has ever seen before.
Smash Bros Hyrule Temple Stage breakdown:
speaking of random animals, the other day during anon hour someone asked me what the most unusual animal is that I’ve ever worked with. I don’t think this is especially unusual compared to some of the marine life I’ve worked with, but I did very briefly work with giraffes at a zoo.
what is unusual is that I only worked with the giraffes for about 8 days until it became apparent I’m irreconcilably allergic to them.
I’ve always had allergies to animals I work with. I’m allergic to horses & I’ve still spent the majority of my life around them. Normally good allergy medication makes it manageable.
There was no managing my giraffe allergy so I had to leave the job.
Not something I ever would have considered. You just don’t go through life wondering whether you’d be allergic to giraffes, but now you will. You could be allergic to giraffes right now.
If I'm gonna say something nice about using Tumblr for social media it's that Tumblr doesn't make you aspire to something and that's a positive.
The big draws of Instagram/Tiktok/Facebook seem to be about proving you have a perfect life and a perfect face and a perfect body and then getting really sad when you don't stack up. Tumblr is a bunch of anime profile pictures loitering at a gas station.
The thing is, when museums and cultural institutions or researchers adopt memes in a "How do you do, fellow kids" way, that's adorable like my grandma when she's misusing emojis. However when some megacorp does it to sell me evil products or some influencer is trying to get me to buy nonsense skincare mud or cyberpunk looking face masks or weightloss pills, I think that's evil incarnate and their name goes into the Death Note (very mindful, very demure)
No joke this vine has a better understanding of transmisogyny than 40% of this website
Cat speaking facts
Remembering when I went over to my female teacher's house in 5th grade and saw that she lived with another female teacher & went home going "wow, so teachers really do all live together!" & then my family had to explain to me what lesbians are
This reminds me of when I was a kid and my very Scottish grandma did child minding for extra money. At one point she looked after these three siblings that were adopted from Guatemala. The kids had two moms. It was the 90s and I'm Canadian.
Now, you would think that even in the 90s most adults would see two women who live in the same house and have adopted children together and think "Harold, they're lesbians". My mom certainly did, internally, but my grandma never brought it up, leaving my mom to wonder whether my grandma was being uncharacteristically discreet or if there was something about the situation my mom was misreading.
One day my grandma needed a hand with something to do with the kids, so my mom came over to the house, whereupon she noticed that the two women who lived together slept in one bedroom, and said "ohhh, they're lesbians."
To which my grandmother indignantly rebutted, "they're not lesbians, they're Scottish."
According to my grandmother, you see, it's cold in Scotland, so women live and sleep together all the time and women who do this are not lesbians, because it's cold (????). Therefore, upon noticing two women living together in Western Canada, adopting children together, and sleeping in the same bed together year-round, my grandma had mentally categorized these women as Scottish.
