"Catch." Mira threw a thin red string bracelet towards Emery. "So you won't get lost easily and if a demon does decide to latch it's fangs in your neck, at least your soul won't stick around in the tunnels."

Emery's faced paled as he slowly slipped the bracelet on his wrist. Mira snorted as she grabbed against the desk pulling herself up to get a view of Emery's shocked face once more. It was a treat to see such emotion in him besides anger and rage.

"Take a joke, Velin! The bracelet won't probably help you find your way through the tunnels and if a demon does latch on you, at least you'll have a pretty bracelet to show it." Mira sweetly smiled towards him.

A scent of coffee, chocolate and caramel tickled their noses when they stepped inside the coffee shop, almost empty of customers in this Tuesday afternoon. An elderly couple was sitting by the window with a street view, chatting together with their hands linked between their steaming cups. Near the counter displaying dozens and dozens of different tasty pastries, a man looking like he was waiting for someone had his eyes glued on the door behind Milo and Maeva, a baby sleeping in its pram beside him. A young woman Milo had never seen here before took their orders before they walked to their favourite place, on the mezzanine just under a cloud-shaped ceiling light.

hi! I’m alli, I’m 16 and a disaster of an incoming junior. I write mostly ya fantasy and scifi and have like a million unfinished wips going back to when i was in the third grade. The vast majority of my writing gets done at 1am so I’m perpetually sleep deprived. I’m asian-american and pansexual. I have two wips right now that I hope to finish: 

embrace the storm: ya fantasy, about a girl who runs away from her oppressive family and headlong into people who she can truly call home, plus a few mishaps along the way

walk between the stars: ya fantasy/scifi, about two dorks trying to get back home to another galaxy in a different dimension

(Re)Introduction to my Writeblr

Hello (again)! My name is Sam (she/her) and my blog has been dead for months! I am finally re-emerging back into the writer community.

Now that I am back, I am going to start posting my writing again and interacting with yours! I’d love to be added to any tag lists for people’s WIPs. I like hearing about new stories.

I have quite a few WIPs right now, so here’s a brief description of their current state:

Kalopsia:

I’m really struggling with plotting this one but the main character’s name is Val and she’s a villain who has to go undercover as a hero for some reason. To be determined.

The King’s Imposter:

In a region ruled by monarchs, the queen is powerless when there is a king. Azula found the task from Her Majesty simple enough— kill the king. What the assassin didn’t know is that the Queen has planned to pin the murder completely on Azula and take the throne for herself. Azula’s new task is to not get caught—and maybe expose the queen.

The Sacrifices We Make:

So this WIP is kinda... dead? I love all the characters and the concept of the story but I really need to start over on this. (Tag: #The Sacrifices We Make)

Coffee and Bagels:

I don’t know too much about this WIP yet but I do know that the main character is non-binary and the book starts off with them dying after a bomb explosion in the coffee shop they were visiting. That’s it so far.

Otherworld:

Teylie and Crimsyn are best friends, but sometimes Teylie wants Crim to stop talking about the Otherworld— a place full of magic and mystery. The way Teylie sees it, why look for a mysterious place (that may not exist) when you could just stay in the safehouses and not deal with the gangs of rogues who roam the streets? Besides, what if magic isn’t even real? Crim’s response is always but what if is?

Witches WIP (needs a name):

After having an encounter in the forest, London finds herself deep into researching the spirits and the fae of the forest surrounding her aunt’s cabin. Before she gets too far, her aunt sends her off to a school to “straighten her out.” While there, London meets a group of witches and becomes a librarian for a building full of spell books, but the job comes with one rule: do not read anything. London watches as more experienced magic users go in and out with the spell books and suddenly, following the rules seems to be getting a little hard.

Assassin WIP (needs a name):

It’s about... assassins...

There’s an all-female assassin league with lots of rules: no love, no friends, always follow orders no matter the risk. These girls are made to hate, not only others but also each other. They’re always vying for the top spots, the top missions. Then one day, one of the girls falls in love... and leaks classified info. And now the FBI is on the league’s case.

Apocalypse WIP (needs a name):

Marilyn’s best friend, Moros, has gone missing. Along with that, planets all over the galaxy are dying left and right, seemingly without a cause. The government Marilyn works with is getting antsy. If Marilyn can’t find Moros, she loses the chance at a huge promotion. As she searchs for her friend, Marilyn learns more about the true intentions of her work force and has to make a choice: will she do what she knows is right or will she crumble under the power of her employers? (Tag: #apocalypse wip)

If you have any title suggestions for the last three, I’d be more than happy to hear them.
