My problem with the body positive movement

The body positive movement is great, and it is great that people are accepting their bodies the way that they are, but why are we still so focused on being beautiful. Society says that beauty determines your value, and that their is only one way to be beautiful. Instead of saying that your beauty doesn’t determine your value, we just say that all people are beautifu. That still allows people to judge your “value” based on how attractive *they* think you are. It is great to say that every one is beautiful, but we need to stand up for the fact that beuty does not determine value, and it never will

“Male lesbian”

This is the most intense reinforcement of gender norms. This could refer to closeted trans lesbians, or mainly just a man who breach’s gender norms. I don’t understand how that is so hard for some people to understand. Can people really have such a hard time understanding a straight man who doesn’t act like a STRAIGHT MAN tm, that they have to make up a separate term in order to keep their misconception of “men act this way, women act this way.”

The car demon

So my mother and I were in the car and the radio kept turning on and off my it’s self and my mother said “our car is possessed.” Of corse our radio turned on and then off so then I said “hey demons it’s me ya boi” the radio turned on again. So then I jokingly said “okay turn on for yes off for no. Got it?” It turned on right as I was finished. Then I asked if it wanted to hurt us, it turned off then I asked if it was a demon it turned on, but this time louder and it stayed on. At this point I was still laughing and joking but freaked out enough that before I wrote about this and I asked if it would be angry if I blogged about it. It immediately turned off.

Throwers’ Motto

Suddenly I’m the jerk

I was talking to my friends and one of them messed up her words and kept saying stanima instead of stamina and my other friend was teasing her for it so friend #1 says “what do you expect, I have the mental capacity of a rasin” and friend #2 responds with “why a rasin? That’s so random” and so I say “well what do you expect from someone with the mental capacity of a rasin”

Suddenly I’m the jerk for pointing out the truth
