Hi, everyone! it's been quite awhile since I last posted, sorry for disappearing, things are quite hectic in my life right now, but how are y'all? I hope the new year is treating ya well. I know in my last post, I think, I said I would be updating "Arrowheads" soon, sorry I didn't get around to that. I'm not sure when I will be able to, but I will update when I can.
I have been working on some other fics though and when I feel they're ready I'll post them, too. Anyways, for now I'm gonna make post like this, cause it's quick and easy and I'll also post more incorrect quotes as well. Hopefully I can stay consistent 🤧. I hope y'all are doing good, thanks to those who are sticking around. Love y'all!! <3

Chapter 5: Getting to Know You
Narrator's POV:
"I Spy..something brown." Y/N drawled out as she strolled through the woods, hand and hand with Sophia, who also held onto her doll's cotton filled hand. Hours and miles later away from where they had camped.
"Is it a tree branch?" The little girl asked.
"Nope." Answered Y/N.
"Uhh, you're boots?"
"My boots are black." Y/N said.
"But, they're covered in mud."
"They're still black, Little Blue. Mostly." The archer chuckled.
"Nuh-uh, they're mostly brown. Look." Soohia said as she pointed to woman's boots.
Y/N looked down, "huh. Guess they are mostly brown...but that's not what I Spy."
Sophia huffed and pouted, "there's nothing else brown, Y/N."
The archer couldn't help but feel bad at the girl's pout so she decided to help her, "maybe you're wearing what's brown." Y/N said, as she looked down at the girl who was staring up at her.
Sophia gasped, "my pants!" She exclaimed quietly.
"Yep." Y/N grinned. "Your pants is exactly right."
Sophia smiled proudly, though soon that smiled vanished.
"You already did my pants, though." She said as a matter of fact.
Y/N frowned and tiled her head, "I did?" She asked.
"Yes. Like, when we were all the way back there." Sophia answered, as she turned to point behind her.
"You sure?" Y/N questioned again, feeling fairly certain that she had not.
"I'm positive." Sophia said with confidence.
"I guess so." Y/N said, uncertainly.
"We should do something else." Sophia suggested, "there's not much to spy."
Y/N nodded, "you're right. 'Sides we've been doing it for about an hour now, I think."
They'd been walking for quite sometime since leaving their camp from the night before, and though they hadn't been playing I Spy for as long as they'd walked, it was boring what with all the trees, branches, leaves and twigs.
"What's your favorite color?" Sophia asked, this wasn't a game of sorts, but she was curious about her new friend.
"Black. Yours?"
"Blue." Sophia responded.
Y/N chuckled at that, "guess I chose the perfect nickname for ya, huh, Little Blue?" The archer smirked.
Sophia giggled quietly, "I like purple, too." She said, "are you from Georgia?"
"Yes, I am." Y/N nodded. "You too?"
"Mm-hm." The little girl nodded, "and so is my Mama. Where's your Mama?" She asked, innocently.
"Uhm, my, my Mama died. Not during this, but when I was little." Y/N answered, sadly.
"Oh. I'm sorry." Sophia replied, just as sadly.
"It's not your fault. You didn't know." Y/N responded. "'Sides, I don't remember her all that much, at least not much of the good stuff."
"Was your Mama mean?" The little girl asked in a worried tone.
"Nah. Not really. She wasn't the best Mama but, she tried her best." The archer responded.
"I'm sorry." Sophia said.
"Stop apologizing, Little Blue." Y/N chuckled, softly. "Ain't your fault."
"Okay." Sophia said, Y/N couldn't miss the sadness that could still be heard in her voice, it was hard not to.
"What's your Mama like, huh?" Y/N asked, trying to take the sadness away from the little girl.
"My Mama? She's really the bestest, she takes good, good care of me. And she loves me sooo much." Sophia said, as she went on and on about her mom adoringly, telling Y/N so many different stories. "...And one time, before, she even let ride one of the bigger rides at the carnival!"
Y/N smiled brightly, "She sure does sound like the bestest."
"She is." Sophia replied, "I miss her very much." The smile that was plastered onto her face as she talked about her mother started to fall.
"I know." Y/N said, as she detected the sadness that was yet again in Sophia's voice. "But, I promise you I'm gonna try my damn hardest to get you back to her, okay? You're gonna see her again."
Sophia nodded, not feeling very sure of what Y/N had just told her.
The world wasn't very nice anymore. Or good. There were monsters. And they were everywhere. Sophia didn't want to die, but what if she did? What if her Mama did?
"Hey." Y/N whispered, kneeling down to Sophia's height, "I'm gonna get you back to her, Little Blue. No matter what." She said as she gripped Sophia's shoulders reassuringly, looking her straight in the eye.
"Will you pinky promise?" Sophia asked, shyly.
"I pinky promise." Y/N said firmly, as she stuck out her pinky, waiting for Sophia to grab hold.
And she did.
And with locked pinkies, Y/N gave them a firm shake with a firm nod and frown, that meant business.
Sophia gave a small giggle.
"Now, let's keep moving, shall we?" Y/N asked, standing her full height, and letting go of Sophia's pinky to grip her hand again.
They continued their journey toward the highway, walking for more hours and miles, taking a couple of small breaks to drink or when Sophia got tired. There was more walking and little bit more talking.
Talking that involved Sophia asking Y/N more questions about herself. Talking that involved Sophia telling Y/N how her Mama would give her piggyback rides for fun or when her feet and legs got tired. And that was how the archer got conned into doing so.
It was complicated what with all the stuff Y/N was carrying but she had figured it out.
She placed her bow onto the ground and took her quiver and bookbag off her back, she gave that to Sophia to put on since it wasn't all that heavy, along with her quiver. After putting the pack on the girl's back and tightening the straps to fit her small body as best it could, Y/N put the quiver over the pack, before squatting down to let Sophia climb aboard. And she quickly did so.
Standing fully back up and grabbing her bow as she did, Y/N hiked Sophia up higher on her back, the archer gripped her bow securely as Sophia locked her arms and legs around her. The weight that was on Y/N before didn't feel at that different, Sophia barely weighed anything.
"This is much easier." Sophia said, with a smile of satisfaction.
To be so quiet and timid, she sure was sly.
(And a bit talkative. Though, Y/N guessed everyone had their moments with talking.)
But, Y/N couldn't help but agree, "It is." She said. "Pass me an arrow, Little Blue?" Y/N asked. Keeping an arm locked around Y/N's shoulders, Sophia reached her injured arm carefully behind her to grabbed an arrow.
Gripping an arrow, the little girl brought it to Y/N's sight and the H/C woman took it with grace.
This will work out nicely, Y/N thought with a smirk as she continued on their journey.

Chapter [4]: Burning Squirrels and Talking Shop
Narrator's POV.
To Y/N's suprise, no danger had found them that night. It was quiet, other than the crickets and cicadas that hummed in the darkness.
It was deemed "safe" for that night, yeah, but Y/N wouldn't want to try her luck being under tree than in one again.
Now, just a couple of hours before the sun rose, Y/N watched as the little blonde started to stir in her spot against the tree. She was only sitting a few feet away from her as she figure it'd be nice for the little girl to wake up to breakfast. Squirrel.
"Mhn." A quiet groan escaped Sophia's lips. Her eyes shot open, and she began to look around frantically.
Y/N quickly took action, "hey, hey." Y/N said rushed over towards Sophia, putting her knife she used to poke at the squirrel in it's holster. "It's alright, you're alright." She said once she reached Sophia, trying to make eye contact with the girl as her eyes bounced all over the place.
Finally catching the girl's eyes, Y/N nodded at her in reassurance. "You're okay." Sophia nodded back, getting that she was okay.
Y/N smiled softly, "I'm making squirrel. Figured we could eat and talk about getting you back to whoever you were with, yeah."
Sophia stared at Y/N for q long minute before looking over her shoulder and pointing.
Y/N frowned and gave a head tilt before following Sophia's gaze, her jaw nearly hitting the ground as she caught sight of the problem.
Squirrels catching flame.
"Shit!" Y/N exclaimed as she rushed over to their meal. She quickly grabbed the shirt she had as an oven mitt and she picked up the stick that was holding the squirrels.
She held it up and blew as hard as she could at it.
For Sophia, this was pretty amusing. She sat straight up, letting the blanket fall from under her chin. She watched as her rescuer struggled to get the flame out.
Y/N continue to blow and blow, and eventually the flame distinguished.
"Phew!" Y/N let out a breathe of air. "I'd say this is just about perfectly done." She said with confidence. "Or. It's just about perfectly overcooked." Y/N let out a chuckled sigh,
"this is why I shouldn't be allowed to cooked." Y/N whispered to herself.
Y/N's head snapped over to where a giggled came from her left side, "so you think this is funny, huh?" The h/c archer said with amusement in her tone.
Sophia continued to giggled as she nodded her.
Y/N snorted, "yeah, yeah, laugh it up." She said as she put out the fire and placed the squirrels back onto the makeshift rack.
"Come on, we'll let these cool a bit and then we can eat up."
Sophia took herself and the blanket over to where Y/N sat, sitting crisscross applesause on the opposite side of her. And to Y/N's suprise, the little blonde spoke.
"Do you always burn your food?" Sophia asked, laughter in her voice, along with curiosity.
"Pfft! No. No way! I'mma good cook." Y/N denied.
Sophia raised an eyebrow at her.
"Okay, fine. I do. But not always. Just sometimes."
Sophia giggled again, and Y/N couldn't help but smile.
"Messing up food has nearly always been with me." Y/N explained as she twirled a twig into the dirt. "I can cook, I swear. I just, at times, forget about the food that I'm cooking and it may or may not burn."
"It does burn." Sophia said in laughter.
"Yeah." Y/N chuckled.
A couple of minutes passed. Those minutes spent in silence, and munching on their squirrels. Y/N took the more burnt one, while Sophia took the less burnt one. And honestly, to Y/N, her burnt squirrel wasn't that bad. She finished it up rather quickly with having barely ate the day before.
When she was done, she went into her pack and count the bottles of water that were there. Four. Four water bottles. The Georgia heat would make a person want to drown them all right then and there. But they'd have to make this work until she could find a new source of water.
Y/N reached and pulled out one, she screwed the cap off and drank a little less than half. She passed the rest to Sophia, who gratefully accepted it.
She finished up the rest of her squirrel and took to pretty small gulps of the water.
Sophia reached the bottle back out toward Y/N. "No, no. It's cool. You drink it." Y/N said.
Sophia looked reluctant to, but she took another swallow, reaching the bottle back to Y/N again.
"We should save it." She said softly.
"Kid, just drink it." Y/N said with a slight chuckle.
"Mhn-mhn." The little blonde shook her head.
The archer sigh, taking the bottle from the little girl. She screwed the cap back on and placed it back into her bag.
"Little Blue. The last time you saw your people or whoever. They were alive right?" Y/N asked as she closed her bag back up, hoping she would get an answer.
"Yes." Sophia responded.
"Okay. I wanna help you find 'em." I said, waiting for a response.
There was a long silence before she decided to reply, "I was with my mom. And a brunch of other people, friends. We were coming from this really big..doctor place."
"The CDC?" Y/N asked.
"Yeah, yeah that's it." Sophia exclaimed.
"Was that were y'all last were?"
"No." Sophia said sadly. "I think the doctor that was there..I think he was crazy. We wanted to leave but he locked us inside. I didn't really understand what was going on. There were a lot a big words used. But, I remember him saying something about the air going to set on fire."
Sophia watched as Y/N's face scrunched up in horror, "we all got out. Well, except our friend Jacqui. She didn't. I remember us running to the cars and we got down and the place exploded." The little girl said, sadness in her voice.
"We were on going somewhere else, but we got to this highway and cars blocked our way and a lot of the monsters came, we hid under the cars. I thought that they were all gone, but they weren't. I got up, and two of them chased me."
"That's how you got lost." Y/N said in understanding.
Sophia nodded, sadly as she looked at the ground.
"I'm sorry. And I'm sorry about your friend Jacqui, too." Y/N said sincerely.
"Me too." The little blonde whispered.
Y/N thought over everything that Sophia had just told her. She knew about the CDC. About how they were looking for a cure for all this shit. They. Yet there was just him? One doctor?
Maybe the others had died. But they should've been safe inside there, right? Y/N was pretty sure they were heavy on lock down. It was a facility after all.
That one doctor was still there and then he stayed even with knowing the place would blow. And so did that Jaqui lady. They knew what was going to happen. They knew their fate if they stayed.
There were times were Y/N just wanted to quit. To give up, even before all this. But, she could never actually see herself giving up. She was determined to stay alive, to beat this. Determined was practically Y/N's middle name.
"Do you know where the highway is, Sophia?" Y/N asked.
"No." She answered. "I just remember, mostly going straight towards it from the CDC. And that there were a lot of cars there."
Y/N frowned in thought. If this was the same highway that she was thinking of, then she knew were it was. Hell, she had gotten just about half of her supplies from there.
"I think I know where it is." Y/N said.
Sophia's head shot up immediately, "you do?" She asked.
"Yeah," Y/N said, surely. "I came across is it, a week or so ago. But, we're not that far from it." Y/N answered.
Sophia frowned in confusion.
"Yes, just about a week ago I was there. But I didn't exactly leave the area. It's only about less than a 2 day's walk." The archer explained. "Do you know how long were you out here before I found you, Sophia?"
The little girl looked up in wonder. "It got dark 2 times, so 2 days? I think." She said.
"Holy sh-crap." Y/N said, catching herself, Sophia smiled a bit.
"Sorry." Y/N chuckled, catching the girl's smile. "You've just been out here all by yourself for a long while."
"I stayed the first night in a small cabin in a closet."
Y/N frowned, "why didn't you stay there?"
"I heard a monster. I got scared and I ran."
Y/N nodded. That was understandable for someone her age and size.
"I'm gonna getcha back to your people, Kid. To your mom." Y/N said determinedly as she stood from her spot on the ground, she grabbed her bookbag from the ground, Sophia took this as sign of leaving so she reached the blanket she had wrapped around her out towards Y/N.
"We'll backtrack to where I found you. You think you can remember which way you came from there?" Y/N asked as she started to pack everything up.
"I think so." Sophia said in a tiny voice.
"Alright. It's no big, if you can't. I'm no pro, but I'm a pretty good tracker. If nothing messed up your path, we're good." Y/N stated.
"Okay." Said Sophia, as she reached for her doll and stood.
After packing everything up, and placing everything where it went on her, compound bow in hand, Y/N knelt down to Sophia's height.
"Listen, Little Blue. Those idiot living-nonliving things usually don't go to deep into the woods, but that doesn't mean they can't." Y/N explained carefully.
"If we come across them you gotta promise me you won't run. If you do, you might get lost again, and maybe I won't be able to find you. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. But you can't run. Okay?"
Sophia took in every word the woman had said to her. She understood. But she wasn't sure if she could not run. But she'd try.
"Okay. I understand." She said, with just as much determination in her voice as Y/N had just moments ago.
"Good. So, let's do this." The archer said, as she stood full height, reaching her hand out to Sophia, who accepted with no hesitation.
Together, the two set out on their journey.

Chapter [3]: A Nice, Tall, & Sturdy Tree
Reader's POV:
"You know, maybe if you could tell me where you were and who you were with, I could try and help you find 'em?" I said as me and my newly found teammate strolled threw the woods together.
I didn't get an answer.
"Where you nearby to where I found you? Maybe on the road? At a house, perhaps?"
Still no answer.
"Or maybe y'all were in trees? Maybe the ones with the pretty flowers? Uhh, dogwood trees, is what they're called. They're known to have a great bARK."
A giggle.
"Yes! Something! After an hour. I knew I'd get you! Gets everyone, it's a classic." I said proudly, as I glanced down at the small giggling girl.
I flashed a proud silly grin at her.
I never had good luck with people. Communicating and all that. Most were just assholes. But kids, though. They seemed easy to talk to. If they weren't assholes.
We walked and walked some more, going deeper into the woods. A thought came across my mind that it would be nice if we could find a little more than a tree for the night.
I looked up at the sky and saw navy and light blue colors.
"I think we've walked enough, yeah?" I said aloud as I came to a stop, not really expecting a response.
I look around, and listened, making sure they're were no Deadeads and possible "Livingheads".
I carefully scanned the area. My eyes stopping when I spotted a tree only a few feet away.
"What you think about that one, Little Blue?" I nodded toward the tree before looking down at Sophia.
Her eyesbrows were furrowed into a frown as she looked up at me.
I gave a small giggling, "sorry, it's just your shirt, and I just...I'm weird."
Sophia gave me the tiniest of smiles, before looking over at the big tree.
"It's tall. It looks sturdy." She whispered softly.
"That's exactly what I was thinking." I said as I walked over toward it, pulling Sophia along with me.
I looked up as we stood directly under it, "It's got lots of branches and leaves. It'd be pretty hard to notice us." I explained as I placed my bow onto my back.
"I'm scared." I heard Sophia whisper.
"Hey, it's fine. It's just a tree." I said.
"What if I fall?" She said as she looked up at me.
"How about, you go first, and I climb up right behind you? So, if you lose balance, I'll catch you." I said to her.
"Besides, we won't climb to high up. Just high enough so it'll be safe for us." I explained.
I watched, as she looked away from me, seemingly thinking about her answer. Sophia opened her mouth to say something, but then closed it again.
"It'll be okay." I tried to reassure her.
She looked up at me, and then down to her arm.
"Shi- I mean shoot. I forgot." I said as I mentally face palmed myself.
Now, it was my turn to think. I clicked my tongue as I scanned around us.
I sighed as I let go of Sophia's hand. I took my bow from off my back, along with my bookbag and quiver, then my side bag from across my shoulders. I placed them all onto the forest's floor.
"Guess we sleep under the nice, tall, and sturdy tree." I said to Sophia as I squatted down and started digging in my bookbag, "and by we, I mean you." I pulled out two blankets, I laid one out onto the ground, and I sat.
"Come on. Get comfortable, Little Blue." I said as I looked up at her, patting the open space beside me.
She plopped down on my right, sitting Indian Style with her doll in her lap. I laid the second blanket out over her.
"Try and get some shut eye. I'll be up, keeping watch." I said as I looked at her with a small smile.
She gave one back.
I sighed as I grabbed my bow and placed it into my lap, I pulled my knives out from their holders and sat them on my left side.
I leaned my head back onto the tree, only for it to shoot back up when I felt something go across my legs. I looked down to see a tiny hand laying the blanket across me.
I pulled my bow out from under it, as I looked to Sophia.
Once she was done settling the blanket she gave my leg a small pat.
I smiled at her, "Thanks." I said. "Get some rest."
She scooted closer to me laying her head on my shoulder, I stiffened up a bit before relaxing. I pulled my arm out from between us and wrapped it around her.
"Sophia? Were you alone?" I asked, kinda nervous about the answer.
There was a long silence, I thought she had fallen asleep already, but I got an answer. "No." She said in a tiny voice.
I let out a small breath and looked down at her.
I watched as she pulled her doll closer and closed her eyes.
I went back to keeping my eyes and ears out. Listening and watching for any danger, that I hoped wouldn't come.
It wasn't out of the norm for me not to sleep. I only usually got an hour or three in general. Four at the most. But, it would have been nice to catch some z's.
Spending the night in a nice, tall, and sturdy tree was most likely safe. But, maybe just for tonight, it would be safe to spend it under one.

Chapter [2]: Sophia
Reader's POV
I dashed through the woods and towards the screams, jumping over logs and dodging branches.
It didn't really register what I could be getting into.
I just knew I had to get to it. To help. Or at least try.
"Help! HELP!!" I heard the voice yell, as I weaved through trees.
I picked up my speed, practically fully sprinting now. The squirrel's at my waist flopped, as did the bookbag on my bag and the side bag across my shoulder.
Another shriek came just as I shielded my face from branches as I bursted out of the woods, and into a clearing field.
I looked around frantically.
My eyes landed on a little girl.
She backed away from two of the dead and their chomping jaws.
I stood up tall as I aimed my bow towards my target. I reeled an arrow back, aiming for a headshot. And release. Bull's eye.
I heard the girl gasped as she watch the Deadhead drop to the ground.
"Hey, asshole!" I yelled to the fugly looking office lady, who had decayed blood dripping from her mouth. "How 'bout try pickin' on someone your own size?" I said as she turned to me. I shot another arrow into yet another Deadhead.
I let out a breath and I look over to the little girl in blue, "hey. Are you alright?" I said as I cautiously walked over to her. She whimpered and back away, holding up an arm in defense.
I noticed that arm was scraped up, bruised, and a bit swollen.
"I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise." I said in a soft tone as I looked from her arm back to her eyes, "I'm Y/N." I said when I was standing only a few inches away from her.
I watched as she squeezed her doll closely to her chest, taking another small step away from me.
I kneeled into the grass, lowering my bow onto it. I pulled my sidebag from across my shoulder and over my head, "You look hungry." I said, unstrapping my pack. Pulling out to granola bars I reached them to her gently.
"It's okay. You can take it." I said gently, nodding encouragingly toward her.
I watched with a gentle and friendly smile as she cautiously took the granola bars from me. She then lowered herself to the ground, setting down her doll. She quickly tore open a granola bar and started to munch away.
I reached back into my bag again, and I couldn't help but chuckle as I felt her eyes on me. Watching my every move.
"I'm just getting this," I said as I pulled out a bottle. "Some water to wash it all down." I said with a smirk, thrusting the bottle gently towards her.
The little girl quickly accepted. Placing the other half of granola she had left into her lap, she quickly screwed off the cap of the bottle wincing as she did, then immediately started to chug the water down.
I leaned back onto my heels. I tilted my head a bit, "what happened?" I asked, nodding towards her arm.
I went back into my bag, "I could fix it up. If you want." I said as waved the ace bandage, a small smile on my face.
She tried to cover it with her other arm, hissing when they only brushed ever-so-slightly.
"Can I?" I asked the little girl, gesturing towards her arm.
She gave me a tiny little nod.
"Okay." I said, scooting carefully toward her. "I'm gonna have to lift your arm, so it may hurt a little. I'll go as quick as I can, alright?" I said as I unfolded the ace bandage. I took her arm as gently as possible, she gasped in pain. "Sorry! Sorry." I said apologetically, as I started to wrapped the bandage around her arm.
"It doesn't seem to broken, I saw you moving it a bit. So, I think you're good." I said to her, trying to take her mind away from the pain.
"What's your name?" I asked gently, as I wrapped her arm.
She sat down the wrapper and grabbed her doll, squeezing it to her again, but not as tightly as before.
She stared up at me with her little hazel eyes. "I-I'm S-Sophia."
"Well, it's nice too meet you, Sophia. I'm Y/N."
"I-I know. You...you said before." She said, her voice sounding more strongly and surer than the last time she spoke.
I laughed a bit, "I did, huh?" I asked. "Aaand there. All done." I placed her arm back down gently. "What are doing out here all by yourself?" I asked after a brief silence, with a serious and worried tone.
"I got lost..." Sophia said so softly that I almost didn't hear her.
"...there..there were Walkers. They chased me. A-a-and I got lost." She whispered out, sadly.
"Do you know where you were? Who you were with, Sophia?" I asked gently.
She looked away from me, and I watched as tears made their way down her freckled cheeks.
I sat there, waiting for an answer for a few minutes, looking around us, making sure there was no danger lurking. And when no answer came, I stood with a sigh. Slinging the bag back over my shoulders, and I bent to pick up my bow.
I walked over to each Deadhead, yanking my arrows out of their skulls, blood splattering out as I did. I stuck them into my quiver as I made my way back to Sophia.
"It's gonna be gettin' dark soon." I said as I looked up at the orange and blue colored sky. "The plan was to fine a nice, tall, and sturdy tree to spend the night in." I said as I squatted down to her, reaching my hand out, "You can come with me."
She looked down to my open hand before looking back up into my eyes, and then back again.
Sophia slowly inched her left hand forward, before carefully placing it into my right.
I smiled and gave her hand a gently and reassuring squeeze. I stood back up, pulling her along with me,
"let's go find that tree."

Chapter [1]: Hitting the Target
Narrator's POV:
Y/N had been wandering around Georgia's backroads and woods for about 3 months now. The only reason she wasn't out kickin' it in Alaska somewhere was because she couldn't bring herself to leave here. Or to leave her Aunt Jemma.
You'd think she'd be use to the weather since she'd spent all of her life here, living with her Aunt and Uncle.
But then again, she'd never been a fan of hot weather.
-FLASHBACK-
"Uncle Chris, do I have too?" Y/N whined.
"Yes, you do, Y/N/N. You said you wanted to learn. So, you're going to."
"But it's too hot." The 12 year old said, as she wiped sweat from her face.
"The weather's not planning to get any cooler, anytime soon." Y/N's Uncle said, as he stood there with his arms folded and a pointed look on his face.
With a sigh, little Y/N pick up the compound bow and turned sideways, aiming it at the spot on the tree her Uncle had marked for her that was about seven feet away. She pulled the arrow back with her right hand and released.
"Holy Crap!" Y/N exclaimed loudly.
She ran up to the tree and looked to where the arrow had hit. "Uncle Chris! I almost hit the middle! Look it!" She squealed out loudly and excitedly, grinning like a cheshire cat.
Uncle Chris threw his head back in laughter as his watched his niece gleam with joy. "Come on back here so you can do it again, Little One." He said through chuckles. It was always good to see his girl be so happy.
Pulling the arrow out of the tree, -with a bit of a struggle- Y/N dashed back to her Uncle's side and stood tall as she lined her bow up with her target.
"You're getting better, I'm sure you'll hit the target this time."
Y/N grinned proudly as she pulled the arrow back and...
....released. Bull's eye. "Look's like we're having squirrel tonight." Y/N said to no one.
She walked over to where she pinned the squirrel to the tree.
Y/N placed her hand over the squirrel's head as she gripped her arrow, blood oozing from it as she yanked it out of the squirrel's back.
She put the arrow between her teeth, hair hanging in her face as she hung her head down to place the squirrel along with the other two on the string that hang from her belt.
"Now, all we have to do is fine a nice, tall and sturdy tr-"
Y/N's words were cut off as she heard a scream.

Heyyy, peeps! 👋
I'm currently trying (and struggling lmao) to write with an idea that's been in my head for months now. Once I have that done I'll post it. I'm taking a break on it for right now.
So, in the mean time,
I really want to write something now and new and it would mean a lot if y'all could leave a request or two for me, and I could try to write it for you! So yeah, y'all should do that. 🥰
If no one leaves any requests, this never happened.
