"Fine then, here. You take him. Bye."
TW: body shaming and bullying.
Grindr needs a "send the geese and ducks after this man" button.
Video of a kitten at a vet’s office protesting loudly as it’s scooped from the floor. Another kitten turns around the corner and walks up to the camera, also protesting loudly for its friend. From here.
Khajiit has words for you.
i’m horny in a very romantic but also nasty way
"I like my ass being like my wineglass: well rimmed."
Public Service Announcement: there's now legal precedent for using "I'm a rich white kid" as a legal defense. (Original article: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2013/12/ethan-couch-affluenza-texas-teen-spared-prison-time-in-deadly-drunk-driving-crash-after-offering-wealth-based-defense.html )
Oh wait...that was already a thing. *Sigh* If anyone thinks this kid deserves this serious second chance, here's a copy/pasted passage from his defense:
He said Couch got whatever he wanted. As an example, Miller said Couch’s parents gave no punishment after police ticketed the then-15-year-old when he was found in a parked pickup with a passed out, undressed, 14-year-old girl. Miller also pointed out that Couch was allowed to drive at age 13. He said the teen was emotionally flat and needed years of therapy.
Read that again: TICKETED for being 15, in a vehicle alone with a PASSED OUT, NAKED 14 year old. THAT was when they should've been talking about mental health.
No, sorry. Fuck his mental health; he was just a psychopath who knew mommy and daddy's money would (and did) buy his way out of ENDING FOUR PEOPLES LIVES. I hope he spends the rest of his life looking over his shoulder for the loved ones of the deceased.
Seriously, when do we start dining on these fuckers? I'm shooting past "gross, but if one must" right into "Oooh! I hope money makes them taste like Benjamin Franklins butter biscuits!"
My dad is a kroger manager and sent me this (repost without personal info)
they thought 1 lb stood for “one little bean”
It *is* 1 lb: one lonely bean
Okay so how many of y'all did Square-Enix blow to be giving the Crisis Core remake such high accolades? Bc I'm mad I didn't get my complimentary blowjob to make me sing the games praises. Fighting off a wasp desperate to land on me is a more fun game to play, plus it has better "controls". I literally can make Zack walk forward by tapping *down*. He generally controls via "tank lite" controls. Why yes, this *does* effect combat, but I won't say it does by a large margin, due to just how very janky Zack controls during battle in general. This game was panned in it's original day, specifically for it's janky controls, and if this is an updated version of it, I feel very sorry for the untreated Stockholm syndrome it's original fans must suffer from; if Pokemon S/V could get refunds, so should this. Can't believe I've wanted to play this "feels unfinished but must not be" game for so many years. In the end, Crisis Core is a cellar dweller we should have only unearthed in order to give it a proper burial. 5/10 stars. Would not recommend.
The second girl at least read the book to confirm that it was shit, she even had Capote on deck as backup. Chick 1 is just lazy
Nope. Girl 2 saw that Girl 1′s absolutely accurate analysis was being shut down just because it wasn’t stated in an intellectual way (in spite of its validity). So Girl 2 reinforced Girl 1′s opinions in solidarity and made sure that it was absolutely clear that Girl 1 was factually correct. WITHOUT taking credit for her observations (”kim is right” instead of “Actually, kim”)
Girls supporting Girls.
Girls not letting other girls be treated poorly.
Not only that, but the book is only 47 pages long. When she read 30 pages, it’s not as though she only read one chapter. She read a majority of the book.
According to that linked pdf, this book is actually 70 pages long, not 47. However the point still stands. :) Kim read almost half of the book, and in the case of most books, that’s more than enough to form an opinion about the writer and the writing, regardless of how well she can or can’t articulate how she feels about it.
Girl 1 wasn't lazy; she understood good time management: thirty pages, especially of a 70 page book, is enough to get a feel for the writers style and direction. She quickly understood, "This book is some overfluffed crap bc it has a famous name attached to it. Yeet it; I got other assignments to worry over."
One of the good, not often mentioned benefits the internet has brought us: Due to online car shopping, car salespeople are now having to face the fact that perhaps decades of lying, manipulation, and assholithicness was maybe a bad way to play it after all.
PSA: George Santos isn't remotely gay, he just knew the GOP has an image problem and are desperate to throw any piece of shit at the wall until enough idiots elect a chunk of it, granting this con artist a free congressional paycheck. People just need to admit they have secret "fuck me, con man!' fantasies bc they keep electing way too many of them. In the meantime, he can yeet himself tf outta our backyard. -_-
since the other fucking disco elysium screenshot dump blew the shit up heres another one. this game exploded my brain
If Kim was a real person, I may have finally found my first fictional character I'd absolutely crush over. The perfect blend of snark, quick wit, and compassion.
Stained glass window Afghan with the border is now finished!
Edit: the response to this blanket has been phenomenal. To answer a few questions….. no this Afghan is not knitted it is crochet. This Afghan is not granny squares but rather done first in circles with a square border. The black lines ore crocheted in during each round and are not seen back in later.
The pattern I modified to do this blanket is here
Function and art collide in a beautiful stained glass crochet afghan. You won't know whether you want to cover up with it or hang it on your
Omg, this is just something my room fulllll of multicolor changing lightbulbs NEEDS 😫😫😫
The way I see it, how you treat the Russian invasion of Ukraine is how you would have treated Nazi Germany's invasion of Poland.
"Just some concessions, I promise the Nazis will keep their word."
So what if in both cases I recognize that theres a wider context and legitimate grievances that are fueling Russian/German support for the regimes horrific actions?
You wipe your ass with those grievances, because they sure as hell aren't legitimate. And no "wider context" can justify the invasion.
As for your nuke tags, Russia isn't using them. They didn't do it even after threatening it, because they were confronted. Putin knows he can't rule an empire of ash. Giving in to nuclear blackmail will only risk more wars.
If I go up to a black guy and yell ‘FUCKING N*****’ and he stabs me to death, that murder isnt justified, but its also not ‘unprovoked’ or was only because he was an irrational madman, or even something that couldnt have been prevented.
Invading Ukraine was wrong and its horrible whats happening there. But not recognizing what led to this point, or what might have been done to prevent it only makes the situation worse and prevents real solutions.
And its true that Putin hasnt used nukes yet. But are you willing to bet literally all life on earth that he wont? I’m not. And I’m reasonably certain he wont so long as the fighting stays in Ukraine and doesnt threaten Russia proper.
But if you are talking about giving him the Hitler treatment: What happens if Moscow is surrounded and Putin feels his life, or even just his rule over Russia is over either way?
Moscow won't be surrounded, because Ukraine has no interest in pushing there. And what would be the events that led to the invasion? Because the provoking party is Russia.
Okay, imagine if, in the 1980s, the USSR brought a bunch of south and central American countries into the Warsaw Pact, including Mexico where they installed a bunch of ballistic missile systems for ‘defensive’ purposes. And the whole time the KGB was supporting(or staging) ‘revolutions’ in countries deemed too friendly to the US. Including one in Canada, which hasnt officially joined the WP yet, but the Soviets keep hinting that they might.
Do you think US would see that a provocation? That we might even consider some kind of military action?
Look could you ask dasha about this stuff?
Its not that her being russian means that she knows more about this stuff, its the fact that shes read more about this stuff than any of us have that meabs she knows more about. Including about hiw Russia was invited to join NATO at one point.
You know, it really is becoming clear that Ukraine really is becoming a sore spot for the same types of people (and why does it always seem to be goddamn Libertarians) that have this whole... I dunno how to put it... blase notion when it comes to Russia invading and occupying a sovereign nation, when you KNOW they’d be/they’re whining and bawling if/when any other nation does the same exact thing.
Its more that a lot of them actively support Putin, and agree with his invasion of Ukraine because they view Ukraine as a fake country.
True, and the hilarious part is that they’re just fine with our presence in the DMZ and the South China Sea. Almost like their whole real problem with this is that somebody they like is doing it and they’ll find justifications.
Yup. Hell theyd be completely ok with it if Poland and the Baltic states were annexed, as long as the ruler of Russia wasnt on good terms with Democrats during the annexation.
"You wipe your ass with those grievances, because they sure as hell aren't legitimate." That's my favorite part of this exchange 💪
I've never not known he was an egotistical asshole. It's literally in his eyes; nobody's really home yet there's a glee in them over knowing nobody's home behind them.
I always feel a wicked urge to get a bunch of ones, move seductively in front of the bell ringers, and go all Borat saying "You no get this!"
DELETE YOUR FUCKING TWITTER
DONT JUST LOG OUT, DONT JUST "NOT VISIT IT". DELETE IT.
IT'S A SECURITY RISK RIGHT NOW
This site also covers how to delete it on web:
This step-by-step guide with images covers how to deactivate or delete Twitter on iPhone, iPad, and the web.
Couple notes:
1. This is a verified brand new leak.
2. Deleting your twitter account does not affect the already leaked data in the slightest. The data is already leaked. Deleting your account is only a future protection measure.
3. If you are a big user or creator, deleting your account may not be the best approach. After 30 days your username will be freed up for use, and someone else could take it to do some malicious impersonating. If that is a concern for you: wipe your account of any data you don’t want risked (tweets, likes, bookmarks, locations, devices, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, etc), and leave it unused.
3. Scope of the leaked data includes: usernames and associated personal data including full name, e-mail address, phone number, date of creation, exact follower count. Potentially as well: set location data (if set by user), full followers list (already public data anyway). The leak does not include user passwords.
4. Risk for users whose data was leaked: mainly phishing attempts (via e-mail, phone, SMS), as well as potential SIM card spoofing/cloning. This includes the potential for Twitter account hijacking, as well as other accounts’ hijacking via phishing and/or social engineering.
Here is the original thread with more information on the scope of the leak and how it can be used. Here is another twitter thread by Dreamwidth’s co-founder Denise explaining more details on what this means and how to protect yourself.
This is a good opportunity to remind that 2 Factor Authentication via SMS / phone number is generally quite insecure. It is better to use authentication applications wherever possible, and multiple layers of 2FA (e.g. e-mail verification code for which you need an app authentication code, etc).
