Instead of lie to a user an agent should simply try to find a better truth to tell... good luck with that.

I’d like to officially thank everyone for the support and making this an interesting journey! I can’t express enough how good it feels to see that people can relate to some of the silliness that a simple help desk agent would face in their journey to help a user. It’s been fun seeing others share their stories, and have some people even throw a comment or two in on a post. Makes it much easier to push through the day knowing that I’m actually not the crazy one when it comes to help desk work =.=
So cheers to many more days of irate and over the top users who can’t tell the difference between a start button and a command prompt happy users who only want a password reset. May all of your calls be short and painless ^_^ Sincerely,
