The Archangels
Michael
Second-born Archangel, twin of Lucifer. Created to be the most courageous warrior in Heaven. Leader of Heavens army and creator of the Exorcists. As the eldest Archangel in Heaven, he is often refered to as "Prince Michael".
Was extremely close to Lucifer when they were younger. Where Lucifer wandered, Michael followed, making sure his brother kept out of trouble. Fate was cruel, though, as he ended up being the one to cast Lucifer out of Heaven, leaving him more wounded than he ever had been before.
Michael now is a workaholic. He doesn't leave his office unless its on official business, or in the rare case he actually goes to his room to rest.
He thinks very black and white and has little time to bother with nuance. He believes Humanity shouldn't decide for themselves what is right and wrong. That is Father's job. And it's his job to enforce that justice.
Fiercely protective of his siblings, as he doesn't want to watch another one of them Fall. Currently has his eyes on Emily. The poor girl is questioning too much.
Gabriel
Third-born. Messenger of Heaven. On rare occasion, they deliver prophecies to Humans, but their jobs mostly consists of running the communication around Heaven.
In this modern day, they have a TV news show that keeps Heaven updated on all the good things around. Has a segment where people can call in and ask for advice. (This idea I'm kinda stealing from @deadspaceguy it was just too perfect). They're kind of the Anti-Vox.
A charmer and gets along with practically everybody in Heaven. Loves Humanity and their minds. All they want is for them to live in peace and speak their truth. They are also a speaker of Truth, unable to tell a lie knowingly.
(Gabriel is non-binary and androgynous since there are depictions that are more masculine, and others more feminine. Goes by they/them)
Raphael
Fourth-born. Healer of Heaven. In charge of Heavens healthcare units. He creates and administers the Angelic prosthetics, like the ones Lute and Emily have.
Is a little aloof, but is kind and patient. A pacifist, he refuses to cause harm to anyone on purpose. He tends not to get close with Humanity on an emotional level, keeping distance due to a sense of professionalism, but is always intrigued by their physicality.
He enjoys both modern and holistic medicine, and has his own garden of medical plants that he takes care of.
Uriel
Fifth-born. Angel of Wisdom. While Gabriel gives Humanity their prophecies, he helps them understand them.
A scholar, deeply curious. He longs to learn every little detail about every little thing. Comes off as if he always has his head in the clouds, but it's more his brain is running so many things at once that focusing on the Here and Now slips him by.
An introvert, but not anti-social. He's more than happy to ramble for hours about whatever topic he's currently focusing on. He does tend to wander off on tangents.
Due to his meticulous nature, he is called in as Judge for Angelic matters on occasion.
Other Notes:
Thought about adding in Azazel and Azreal but figured that was too much, especially since Raphael and Uriel also aren't getting super big roles. The focus is mostly on Michael, with some Gabriel.
Sera's full name is Seraphiel, the Angel of Secrets.
Emily's full name is Jophiel, but she changed it to a human name to make Winners feel more comfortable approaching her and showing that she's just like them! She's here to help them be happy!
The Speaker of God's true name is Metatron. They do not ever call her by that name, though, unless it is a very important matter, as speaking the name is essentially the same as opening a direct line to God.
Lucifer is not his original name, but one he adapted after the Fall. No one dares speak his old name, mostly out of shame.
God exists! He's around. :) He sure works in mysterious ways though. :)
