@dodare
idk man not to sound like a cartoon hippie but if your entirrrrre blog and dash is about how the world sucks and everyones bigoted i think you are going to give yorself brain worms
"ah but all of this is important and true and if i dont reblog all of this important stuff waga baga THE WORMS! THATS WORMS! THE BRAIN WORMS!
i do not think you are doing activism chief i think what you are doing is sitting in your room flagellating yourself expecting something to happen
It's trrruuuuuuuuueeeeee!!! If you are not someone who's fueled or motivated by constant disaster and negativity (and who the hell is?) you are just going to drown yourself. I was taught to value cynicism and look at positivity as naiveté. But it is SO worthwhile to adjust that mindset and start feeding your brain positive life affirming things alongside all the news.
listen to me, this is so so important: you've gotta get used to really giving it your 60% as a default. like don't half-ass it necessarily but try not to go over 70% or so of an ass. you'll feel better and live a happier more fulfilled life, and on the rare occasions where you do need to lock the fuck in you'll be able to pull off bullshit that the sad miserable wretches giving it their 100% can never dream off, because they're busy draining themselves dry and you have energy reserves to spare.
This is actually what I was adviced to do at the work rehabilitation program I went to. Hasn't left my mind since. 10/10 solid advice
I wonder if I could pay someone to follow me around yell this at me periodically.
Yes! And also, if you have tried many times before (like me) and you are really pretty much incapable of giving 60% ass, no matter how much you work on creating new habits around work, then you have to find work that rewards your 100%. I'm still trying to find or build that for myself. But there's no point working in a job you dislike and that drains you when the only result is they take advantage of your 100%. You shouldn't be getting in trouble when you drop down to 90%. Wherever possible you've got to drop back to 60% while you prioritize finding jobs you can truly enjoy, or at least where your contribution is actually valued and recognized. Especially if giving 100% means you actually make more money. And are allowed to take breaks when you inevitably burn out.
Somewhere out there on a planet very far away is a civilization that has included our sun in a beloved constellation of some animal we couldn't dream up if we tried
I like your brain
At this rate, I might just become a full time grackle photographer. The purple and blue interference color on their feathers is so magical.

printers behave like that because the medieval monks they put out of work are haunting them
oh to have foxes play where I've laid to rest
beautiful things happen when you are consistent and when you are devoted to yourself

tbh a lot of my advice boils down to “hey you know that terrible horrible looming thing you’re doing your best to avoid and distract and escape as much as possible but no matter what you do it just keeps looming and looming and ruining your life”
“just, fuckign, run straight at it screaming.”
i needed this as a background
I think all the trans people should be extra nice to each other today.
I’ll go first. You are doing a fantastic job of surviving through some outrageous bullshit. I love you. I wish you all the gender affirming care you could ever want and a huge, glorious, supportive community that is accessible to you and you can be an equal member of. I wish you a comforting, stable home, a good adventure here and there, and a fulfilling day to day with plenty of sunbeams and delicious beverages and cool breezes.
