he has to stifle a sigh, he’s..relieved he doesn’t have to call anyone. this is already more than he wants to deal with. would he have, anyway? why did he even offer? …well, it doesn’t matter much now.
but it sounds like she worked for her talent, which is more than he can say for other people. it doesn’t get on his nerves, at least. “Yeah? It shows.” but. he doesn’t know what to say. drag on the conversation? she could be a good ally. he should put in some effort. it really just depends on if she even wants to deal with him. he’s not going to act friendly. “I guess this is enough for now… I don’t care what happens to him.” he really doesn’t. “Maybe someone else will come pick him up, I’m sure other people saw.” but, again, it doesn’t matter to him.
“Is that a common thing you do? Knock people out?” he’d probably find out on his own anyway, but… “… Er, you don’t have to answer that. I don’t know what I’m saying.” least of anything he wants to do is overstep boundaries; he hates it when people do the same to him, after all.
✦ Blinking in surprise for a moment, Artemis soon grins widely at the stranger upon hearing his compliment. Though she, of course, is aware of her talent, it’s always nice for others to recognize it... Especially mortals. A lot of the time they can be rather foolish she has come to find, but this one... He seems to be smart or at the very least, a good head on his shoulders.
