Introduction Hello! It's Atlas here, (@noname-mpregboy) and my goal is to share with you all of the self harm tips I've acquired over the ye

if you see any mistakes (ex: grammar, terms, misinformation) TELL ME. the last thing I want is to spread false information or have something hard to understand.
as John Aftercare here are some tips for AFTERCARE! These are things I learned while working as a lifeguard, though my info may be a little out of date!
IF YOURE BLEEDING SEVERELY- Pressure is most important. If you bleed through whatever you’re using to help (I.e gauze, tissues, towels, etc) DO NOT REMOVE THE BLOODIED GUAZE. Instead, PILE more on until it’s no longer being bled through. From there, I personally take medical tape and tape the gauze down so that there’s consistent pressure for at LEAST an hour on deeper cuts. Removing the gauze early disrupts the clotting process and may cause more bleeding.
After you’re sure the bleeding has stopped, put ointments/clean the wound GENTLY and put fresh gauze + medical tape on. This will help the wound heal with less risk of infection as well as encourage quicker healing (albeit only slightly!)
I find old/dried hand wipes or toilet wipes work REALLLYYY well if you don’t have gauze. Paper towels are next, then cloths, then toilet paper/tissue paper.
remember to use clean supplies and stay safe out there! Never reuse gauze <3
