hello everyone! this is a super awkward post for me to write, especially since i try my best to keep my personal stuff off this blog, but i’m kind of at my wit’s end here. so i’ll just make this as brief as i can.

i live in east TN, and this past week my area was heavily affected by the flooding from hurricane helene. if you’ve been watching the news coverage or seen any relief posts floating around, you’ve more than likely seen pictures of my town underwater. it’s a sickening and surreal thought i’m still not sure what to do with. for several days i was trapped between two rapidly flooding rivers and unsure how i was going to evacuate if it came to that. luckily i, my family, and my pets are okay, but unfortunately i have been hit hard financially. i was out of work for several days, at a time when i was already struggling more than i’d like to admit with money.

i’ve suddenly found myself without the hours of wages i was planning to pay my bills with, and weeks of no running water and more anxiety ahead of me. i absolutely hate, hate asking for help, but i’m struggling to come up with any other options.
