Starting Commissions! [Open]
Hey guys! So, I’m starting commissions! I currently have 7 slots open right now, but I want to start doing commissions to get a new drawing tablet.
So here’s the basic stuff:
If you are interested, please read the info below!
- No matter the commission, I retain ALL the rights to my art. I maintain the right to display the commission in my portfolio and on my website (if you don’t want it to be publicly displayed for any reason just let me know).
- You may NOT edit in any way, other than cropping the image for an icon and the like, and you MUST give visible, typed out credit where it is used!
- The commission is for PERSONAL USE ONLY, not for commercial use! You may not reproduce it, print it to sell to a third party, or make any money from it (talk to me if you would like to put my art on merch or other commercial uses).
- All payments are in USD and through PayPal only (sorry…). I will not begin work on the commission before the full amount is paid.
- Don’t worry about being formal, but do be concise about what you want.
- If you don’t know exactly the character you want, a.k.a. making a character from scratch, that’s okay! Just provide many references and I’ll have you involved in the whole process, it may be a bit extra though. Also, don’t be afraid to tell me about this character so I can make them fun and unique in their own way!
- If you have a specific pose you want for a full body or anything else, please send it to me, I can use references to get you the art you want!
- Send me visual references, as many as you can. These can be your own drawings, celebrity photos for face refs, photos of objects, armor and fashion, poses, pre-existing PUBLIC characters (just don’t take from Pinterest and say “I want this, this, and that from someone else’s drawing.), etc.
- Don’t be ashamed to want me to draw a picture of you, I don’t think it’s weird or vain at all!
- Tipping is a thing, you can do on my Kofi if you’d like to and have the money to, but it is not required nor is it an obligation.
- But please, do share my art and tell people where you got it and provide links to my commissions info so I can make other people art too!
- If you need my commission by a certain date for any reason, let me know! I may charge a little extra for the rush if the date is close, but I will work with you to get it done.
- Don’t be afraid to ask me questions! Ever!
- First, email me at [email protected] with the commission order (ex. “[Commission] Chibi, Full Color, Full Body”) in the Subject Line. When I get it I will confirm that I have received your email, let you know if there are any slots left open, and send you the “Will/Will NOT Draw”, “Terms”, “Newbie Notes”, and price of the commission again. Please do reread over these to make sure there have been no changes. If you would like to cancel or change your order at this time just let me know. If you would like to proceed, tell me that you accept the Terms, have read the notes, and provide an electronic signature in the form of your full name and usernames on social media (ex. Mac Frazier, @Spiritfightr/@SpiritfightrsArts) ((If you would like to leave out your last name that’s okay.)) I will confirm this as well with another email and send you the link to send the money to my PayPal, you must do this before I begin any work.
- Next, send me those references and tell me what you are envisioning! Let me know what you want!
- I’ll send you a sketch soon after we’ve talked over details. They will likely be traditional sketches at this stage.
- Once we have come to a conclusion about what you want I’ll make a final sketch digitally.
- Confirm that I have what you want and then…
- I’ll work on the art! I’ll send you periodic check-ins every once and a while so we stay on the same page and I can minimize errors.
- Then, I’ll send you a “finished product” with “SAMPLE” written on it (this will also be on all check-ins and sketches to minimize art theft from those pesky art thieves!), so you can confirm everything is to your liking.
- I’ll then remove the “SAMPLE” watermark and put in the finished art watermarks (you won’t be able to see them well, I promise!) and my signature, saying the art is by me and providing my username. (NOTE: Just because my signature and username are on the art DOES NOT mean that you don’t have to type out credit where you post my art! Always, ALWAYS give credit! ((and a link to my commissions page where you can!)))
- Finally, we are done! You can post the art WITH PROPER CREDIT wherever you would like! Use it as an icon, reference, phone background, whatever as long as there is proper credit!
Email me if you’re interested!!
