Okay, so if there are any rolling with difficulty fans still hanging around, spoilers for the latest episode...
I absolutely loved that Kireek was the one holdout on whether or not to try and revive Garou! First, because it's absolutely fair to consider letting the man who, by his own admission, murdered an awful lot of people and served an evil god stay dead.
Second, because back in season two when Katya and Kireek were trying to find the lizard lord and talking about the bugbear shaped elephant in the room, Katya ends the conversation thinking Garou has "won over Kireek." And this is a totally fair assumption!! Kireek calls him a "victim of his environment," compares his struggles with his past to Katya's, and generally has a much more sympathetic opinion of him than she does.
But!!! He also reaffirms that he is Katya's "ardent supporter." They've been pretty ride or die for each other from day one. Garou didn't win him over and her words fell on deaf ears. I have to imagine that played some part in his hesitance to bring Garou back rather than it just being cold pragmatism.
