i was surprised to open instagram and see that i had been tagged in this photo.  lia braswell and i had taken this photo quite some time ago. it’s one of my favorites and i had used it in a zine.  apparently it’s also been one of her favorites as well...  she used it for her project lalande.  it’s the cover for lalande’s album, osglim.

this is what she recalls about the photo: Before moving out of LA back in 2014, I was hoping to learn how to become a puppeteer. I would collect puppets whenever I found them but was too intimidated by my perfectionism to pursue. I guess I was hoping this would be my puppetry headshot haha! Turns out, I still connect with puppeteering and would love to have a puppet show one day (maybe a quarantine music video goal?).

she asked me if i'd like to help photograph all the musicians who would be taking part. yes, of course i would!! 

i'll be posting all of them over the next couple of days.
