This reminds me of one of the funniest hypotheses for why mammals (humans included) age so rapidly. The answer is… dinosaurs.

So mammals of a similar size to other vertebrates have shorter life spans and even not considering endotherms as they have a slower metabolism, birds still live longer for their body size. So scientists wanted to know why we seemingly suffer much stronger and more rapid ageing.

So the hypothesis goes that when mammals were only small rat like creatures living in the brush, they had incredibly shorter life spans and so, mutations or changes that would effect the survival of the individual in a few decades or so didnt matter as noone survived that long in the first place, so those mutations didnt get weeded out and so collected. And now we have shorter life spans cause of the strong environmental pressure of the dinosaurs.

one day grace hurts his right hand somehow and he's all upset bc he's like gosh dang it now i have to do everything left-handed. and rocky's like ?????still have other hand?? and grace explains the idea of dominant hands and rocky is like. you only have two hands. the FUCK do you mean only one of them can do anything

We have dominant hands because it allows the hands to specialize. The dominant hand does the more fine motor skills while the non dominant hand is used for stabilizing and holding things in place.
