Do’s and Dont’s for Freshman!!

Do’s

• Do have a hun way and subtle ways to start talking to people. I like to carry around Gum or Candy to give to people and that has started many conversations!

• Do be kind to your teachers, they’ll be much more willing to help you out or give you second chances if youre not being super rude

• Do be okay with taking some days off. I'm not saying you should skip everyday of school, but its good to take a breath to get your stuff straight sometimes.

• Do make friends with people in upper grades. It's much easier to ask for advice or answers on worksheets from them

• Do get organized. Not only will it make your life easier but people are naturally more attracted to people who are organized!

• Do finish assignments asap. Since freshamn year is already so easy make it ten times easier by not letting work build up.

• Do learn emotional regulation and emotion independence. These were two things that I did not have at all during my freshman year and that led me to have emotions that I would act out way too much on or bad things I would put my worth into. Make sure that you are taking deep breaths and knowing your worth!!

• Do give out compliments! In my opinion it’s the best way to make friends

• Do be very set in your boundaries and what you believe in. There’s going to be a lot of conflicting things that happen this year but don’t let anyone change you are/who you want to be

• Do have as much fun as you can and don't look at anything as cringey! If I can go to hoco alone and still have fun so can you!!

Don’t’s

• Don't become too obsessed with relationships. First of all you're like 13 you don't need to be rushing to find your soulmate. second of all I know from experience that you will embarrass yourself 100x more if you are desperate to get a relationship.

• Dont gossip, about other students or even teachers. EVERYTHING gets around in high school

• Don’t be anyone’s secret admirer, whether it be an upperclassman crush or someone you just really wanna be friends with they will almost 100% of the time think you are creepy/ not like you. Just be chill.

• Don't stress over grades. freshman year is very easy to pass so just do your best and have fun!

• Don’t be afraid to talk to people some of the people who I thought were "scary" are now my closest friends

• Don't keep a closed mind when it comes to friends, you can have all kinds of different a diverse people who you are friends with.

• Dont smoke or do drugs. I know it seems really fun and cool but it will hold you back in a lot of ways and like 70% of people I knew who were doing smoking or doing drugs got caught (When you’re an upperclassman it’s slightly more acceptable)

• Dont date any upperclassman. Sorry to burst your bubble but a senior definitely isnt dating you because you're “cool"

Don't be rude to anyone. Even if they were rude to you, BE THE BIGGER PERSON!! I promise it will pay off!!

• Don't be afraid to cut off people who aren't for you. It'll be fine just dont make it a big thing that everyone hears about!

I hope this helped anyone who is going into/ in the middle of freshman year!! Even though im not much older I made A LOT of mistakes during my freshman year so I have tons of good advice to give out lolll!!! Overall just don’t take anything too seriously, have fun, AND DON’T FOCUS/ PUT YOUR WORTH INTO RELATIONSHIPS!!!

Hello lovely’s!! It’s has been so long since I’ve actually really posted anything here on tumblr or… really any other app really but I’ve been changing SO much! It’s weird what high school does to you hm? Well I guess that brings me to my point of I’m going to be doing a total REBRAND!! I’ve just been getting into manifestation videos and the show gossip girl and things like that and they have REALLY wanted to make me start a blog and give advice about the things I know!! Although the sad news is the fanfiction Lizzy Grant part of my life has come to a close (for the time being at least) I know this post won’t matter a lot right now since I have one and a half followers.
