fandom etiquette as a whole died when people who didn’t grow up on fandoms became stans during lockdown, yes, but why am i seeing people openly mocking fics on twitter. why am i seeing screenshots of fics with captions like “bro what is this 😭.” why am i seeing people mock fic writers for not knowing how sports or theater or college or any other organization operates in the real world.

I'm literally so exhausted after the concert but I can't sleep until I get this thought out into the world.
So here it is
(Spoilers and slightly suggestive-ness under the cut. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED)
I'm going to do this romantic like imagine/scenario thing using MC but it can also be easily turned into a X reader.
Vagastrom! Tohma and Younger Alt (+ impulsive/reckless)! Mc first meeting at a rock/punk show back during Tohma's Vagastrom days. (He's out on a R&R permit.)
Imagine them hitting it off, they click naturally. They end up spending the night together (IYKWIM) .
Either way by the next day they're just a memory in each other's minds. Just the hot girl/boy they met at the Rock/Punk show.
Time goes by (to when the game's story begins) and they've both changed so much.
Tohma has transferred to Frostheim. He cleaned up his act. He's almost completely unrecognizable to the guy he was before, when they first met.
MC has changed too. She toned down her edgier looks. She adjusted her wardrobe, her attitude, how she goes about life. She's now thought to be Basic, or a normie at first glance based on her appearance.
She still attends the shows, just not as often as before. And She can still belt the lyrics to her favorite bands by heart. She's just less obvious and obnoxious about it.
That's actually how she got cursed (at least in this version). She was coming back from a rock show. The band that was performing was disbanding and it was their last show. And on her way home the Kyklos shows up.
She ends up at Darkwick. But because time is cruel, when they both meet again they don't recognize each other at all. They continue on as if they're strangers meeting for the first time.
But with each meeting they can't help but be intrigued. There's just something about the other person, something almost magnetic about them. They just Have to know more about the other person.
And then it's this slow burn type of romance.
I'm not too sure exactly how it'll go after that though... Maybe something like this?
Like one day Leo being the little shit he is (<- Affectionate) gets his hands on an old Photo of Thoma (Yearbook photo, Darkwick ID, dingy ass Polaroid from a different show & or event, whatever you get the idea) and decides to show MC knowing it'll irritate/piss off Tohma once he finds out. Because Tohma left that part of him in the past for a Reason...
But MC doesn't react as Leo expected. He expected something much more obvious, dramatic, loud. A real "Oh my god! No way! That can't possibly be him!!!" type of deal. Definitely not this quiet, reserved, almost calm and at peace reaction.
And that bugs the living hell out of Leo. NPC's are supposed to be predictable and that wasn't predictable. So obviously Leo goes digging. Because something is amiss here.
It took him a while but Leo eventually finds old photos of MC done up in all her Punk/Alt/Rocker glory, as well as old footage that some other random concert goer recorded from the show where Tohma and MC met. Tohma and MC show up in the footage for less than 4 seconds but it's undoubtedly them. Leo's sure of it.
And Leo being Darkwick's favorite shit stirrer decides to do what he does best, stir the pot. And what better way to do that than harass MC about it and be the most obnoxious wingman ever because that is going to be entertaining as hell for Leo.
Hopefully y'all can see the vision I was going for. I'm tired as hell and my legs hurt but I needed to get this out before I fall asleep and forget this permanently. But if any author's want to write something based off this feel free to, just tag me bc I want to see.

I got inspired by @tkdb-crystal-ball-anon’s post talking about Tohma being a punk/rock head in his Vaga days 😏 Now, being a fan of Blink-182 (AND BC THEY RELEASED NEW LONG LOST SONGS) I thought it would be nice to make a lil crossover.

all it took was kaito looking away from her for him to forget she was ever even there. dazed and confused, he stared down the hallway, no doubt contemplating who he was supposed to be doing this mission with.
auburn walks past him, pressing her lips together. there's no use explaining to him who she is for what was probably the fifth time today. she just had to find the sinostra first year, and then they would be on their way.
and he'd probably forget all about her, too.
making her way through the hallway, she keeps an eye out for the familiar mop of grey-ish hair she saw at the entrance ceremony. what was his name again…? wrinkling her nose, she pulls off to the side of the hallway and digs around in her tote bag for her notebook, cracking it open to the page tabbed new students.
just because she was cursed to be forgotten didn't mean she would let herself forget others so easily.
"excuse me, are you the inspector?"
auburn jerks her head up, scrambling to right her posture and facial expression, when she freezes.
"hi—" her eyes dart down to her notes, "shinjo. yes, that's me."
"you seem frazzled," he says coolly, "you may want to wipe that confused look off of your face. it's unbecoming of an inspector."
her eyebrow shoots up to her hairline, expression scrunching with displeasure. he pays this no mind, eyes drifting down to her notebook.
"ah, i see you collect data as well," he smirks, producing a file with her name on it, "that is proper behavior of an inspector. i must commend you."
she opens her mouth, then closes it again. who does this guy think he is!?
"yeah, of course—sorry, you know who i am?" she points at herself.
ritsu eyes her as though he were looking at a particularly stupid child, "of course i know who you are. i am ritsu shinjo, future top attorney of japan. my father told me i must always gather information whenever possible. please, take a business card."
auburn watches as he produces a business card out of who knows where, holding it out to her expectantly.
"okay, thank you!" she smiles warily, plucking it from his fingers.
she slides it into her notebook, marking the page that reads ritsu shinjo: sorted into sinostra.
"i heard that you have been assigned to sinostra as inspector," he states plainly, "we should pool our information before heading out."
"uh—okay." auburn nods, struck nearly dumb by how straightforward and…uncaring this man seemed to be.
"let's be on our way then," ritsu turns on his heel and walks away, and auburn sucks in a breath the second his eyes leave her. sighing, she stays where she is, looking back down at her notebook with his business card slotted between the pages.
well, that was interesting while it lasted.
"my time is precious, inspector. do not waste it," ritsu calls from down the hallway.
she jerks her head up for the second time that morning, eyes wide at the sight of ritsu frowning down the hallway at her.
"you remember me?" she squeaks, absolutely baffled.
"not pleasantly, at the current moment," he snaps, tapping his foot, "honestly, you—"
"coming, coming, sorry! i'll explain once we get to wherever we're going!" she scrambles down the hall to meet him, heart pounding in her chest.
when was the last time she was remembered!?
she only wishes it was someone just a bit nicer…but it's better than nothing.

When you’d received the text message from Rui to head over to Obscuary, you’d figured it was yet another one of his ploys to get you alone.
Having successfully navigated the forest for what felt like the hundredth time, you’d walked past all the anomalous plants and pushed open the front gate. Making your way past even more unknown plants, you carefully followed the path that Rui had shown you on your first day here, careful not to brush up against any of the unknown anomalies. Once you reached the front door, you breathed a soft sigh of relief—no matter how many times you made that walk, it was always a little stressful.
You knock on the door politely and wait outside, rocking back and forth on your heels. It doesn’t take long for Rui to answer the door, and the second you see his smiling face it’s as though the sun finally pushed the moon out of Obscuary’s sky.
“Hey there, cutie!” he beams, opening the door wider so you can slip inside, “You look better than ever today! My eyes are blessed!”
“Your eyes!? What about mine, Rui?” you laugh, shooting him an affectionate grin, “You’re even more charming than usual!”
He clutches his chest, pretending to be wounded by the praise, but you don’t miss the flush of pink on his cheeks. For a man who often finds himself wondering if you take him seriously, he seems to wiggle his way out of your own flirting attempts fairly often.
Ah, well, there’s nothing to be done for it. Your job is to relax and have fun tonight, now that your most recent mission is over.
Except, when you step into the bar area, there’s no one there.
“Rui...? Where are Lyca and Edward?” you ask, raising a brow.
“Edward had a stream, and Lyca is helping out with Jabberwock!” he says smoothly, leaning against the counter, “Can I get you something to drink, cutie?”
You don’t have the energy to ask him if he’s lying to you or not. Safe to say, your trust in him when it came to the alone time he managed to grasp with you had decreased—but as your affection grew, you began to care less and less.
“Remember that drink you made based on us?” you smile, sliding into the stool closest to him, “I’d like that one.”
“Coming right up!” Rui jumps away a little too quickly for your liking.
You get the danger, but he’s so careful. Would it really be so bad to touch him, just once?
Rui must have some idea of what you’re thinking—or he just feels the burning stare in the back of his head—because he focuses completely on making your drink. It’s like watching a professional dancer as he twirls around and puts on a show, shaking your drink before pouring it out with flair. You clap politely at the end of it, beaming at him as he winks.
“One Cursed Twins Cocktail, here you are!” he preens under your praise.
You lift the glass to your lips and take a thoughtful sip, savoring it before swallowing. You tap your index finger to your bottom lip playfully, as if Rui’s mastery needs any time at all for you to think about.
“I think this may just be the best drink I’ve ever had in my life,” you state solemnly, “I’ve been ruined for any other bartender.”
Rui laughs at that.
“Don’t give me hope, cutie. I might have to make you another one, on the house.” he jokes, as if this one wasn't also on the house, “But if you think that’s all I’ve got, I’m about to knock your socks off!”
You follow him with your eyes as he darts out from behind the bar and out of your view. After a few mysterious thumps that have your brow raising again, he calls you from the next room over.
“And bring your drink!” he calls, almost like an afterthought.
You do as he asks, scooping your drink up from the bar and making your way over to where Rui disappeared. There’s a door that you never noticed before, cracked open just slightly, with a soft purple glow emanating out from behind the polished wood.
You push the door open and gasp when you see an entire karaoke setup awaiting you, Rui standing in front of you with a microphone.
“Take a seat, cutie! I’ll be serenading you tonight,” he winks.
Oh, there’s no way you’re missing this.
You sit down immediately, setting your drink on the nearby table. Not once do you take your eyes off of Rui, who turns the lights down a little lower to set the mood. You expect a cheesy serenade, something you can giggle about, but when he begins the song you realize that's not what this is at all.
“Every time, in my mind, I’m telling myself, should I be, who will be, the man who'll hold your hand...”
You bring a hand to your lips, covering your half open mouth, You don’t dare look away from him. He doesn’t look away from you, either.
“Whenever I close my eyes, I can see your lovely smile. And I open it again, and then I see the midnight sky .”
There’s raw emotion in his voice, so much so that it makes your eyes start to water. You choke back the tears. It’s almost funny, how you came in here expecting to laugh—and so far, you have been doing anything but. His eyes are soft and his smile is almost wry, as if this whole thing is just some big cosmic joke.
But it’s not.
You’ve always known Rui was more genuine than he let on.
“Wishing that I'll be...The man that'll touch and see...I'll give my love that can't explain. We will be running in the rain. And I will hold your hand...Hold my hand.”
You always knew.
His song doesn’t end fast enough.
“Rui Mizuki, if you don’t sit down and let me serenade you back I’m going to throw a pillow at your head,” you choke out, tears streaming down your face.
“Sorry cutie!” he laughs, sounding on the verge of tears himself, “Didn’t mean to make you cry—”
“Give me that mic!” you demand, appearing in front of him before he can finish the thought, “It’s my turn.”
