being two videos behind the most recent video, naturally i would like to catch up in chronological order
naturally, youtube only lets videos autoplay starting from the most recent going back to the first video (aka reverse chronological order), so that if time worked backwards, this feature would work the way it’s supposed to.
accept the responsibility of manually advancing videos in chronological order (aka going back in reverse time)
i am not a cartographer, but i am pretty sure that making roads harder to see is not the way to make maps.
if i was lost in the middle of nowhere and had to use google maps, i would probably die (insert joke about apple maps being even worse)

obtain sudden urge to casually browse IMDB by genre
look for any kind of ‘browse’ button - can’t find one
finally discover that one can browse titles by genre by clicking the ‘advanced search’ option at the bottom of the dropdown menu next to the search bar
give mental kudos for putting the browse method - probably the most basic of manual search techniques - in a sidebar of an advanced search page
finally get to the genre page, with a list of the most popular films (made popular by whom?)
realize I actually want to browse by date (year), find search refinement tools in a sidebar, out of the page’s main line of sight
get to a page that lists “Scary MoVie’ as number 1, followed by an infinite number of How I met Your Mother episodes (a tv show, not a movie) - all ordered by some proprietary and possibly arbitrary system called ‘MOVIEmeter’
give up on imdb, realize wikipedia is a better movie database than the imdb
for heaven's sake, keep calendar events in chronological order
ok everyone, open the program with the 'p' icon which one? the green one which green one? the one with the open folder icon thingy which one? actually I'm not sure, lemme check

profile page: press the three vertical dots in the top right corner to open the options
photo page: press the three horizontal dots in the bottom right corner to open the options (optional: turn head 90 degrees and the dots appear vertical! they still open the options too!)
i'd like to preface this by saying Google Chrome, for the most part, is a good web browser.
but the way the bookmarks toolbar behaves leads me to believe they let their one-eyed cats finish the job. Oh you have lots of bookmarks in a folder you just clicked, but you need to click on the one folder just to the right of it? let me block the way of you clicking it, so you have to click your mouse away from the focus of the toolbar and then go back to click on the correct one.
The first image was the same exact set of bookmarks I have in Chrome set up in Firefox - which doesn't block the mouse's way of adjacent folders. that smooth line at the top of the first image is me seamlessly breezing through my bookmarks toolbar going "oooh yeeeh".
Chrome doesn't let you do this, and it shows.
p.s. I used IOGraphica to capture mouse movement. Great little program. Start it up, work a couple hours on something, and see what it looks like.

Ah, the lifeblood of both creatives and people that need it for their work (both of which are most definitely not mutually exclusive).
It costs thousands of dollars for the full program suite, and has an interface that looks and feels like a blind person playing tetris.
Dearest Adobe,
Paying people off craigslist with visa giftcards and using their input for user surveys has not and will not make your programs better. I am sure you are enjoying swimming in your oceans of money, so who cares if your programs actually work well, right?

thanks iTunes 11 for taking away the ability to use the column browser to browse my iPod.
it makes manually browsing all 10,000 of my songs so much easier. (this is joke)
actually, I've had this ipod for several years, it's just that this is one of the several times I had to factory reset it because it starting throwing a tantrum.
anyways, i don't really need you to talk to me like i've never used an iThing before - it would have been nice just to have a "skip these dumb introduction screens because I've seen them way too many times before" button.
i heard you like menus, so here's a menu for your menu so you can get confused figuring out how to make the itunes interface the way it was before
by the way tumblr, the whole "I don't care if you have several images that need sorting, if you want to display them a certain way you're going to have to drag them all, one by one, until you're happy with it" - is not ok. Although it's fairly intuitive, having to do it more than five times in a row with images that all look similar just makes my eyes (and my feelings) hurt.
added videos to "Watch Later", but a pop-up menu shows "Unsaved Playlist" with 0 loaded videos
maybe I should load the "Watch Later" playlist to check if the videos were added...
please be patient, as loading playlists may take unnecessarily long...
playlists loaded, and I select "Watch Later"
after loading, it goes right back to "Unsaved Playlist", an empty playlist that DOESN'T EVEN EXIST
