Love Upon a Time // Finale
I won't keep you waiting anymore. I won't slip out of your arms If you do, I will find my way to you again. I will find my way back to you in every lifetime

INFINITE'S 16TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE
This is why Pride is not just a party. It's a joyful celebration, but it's also a pointed and colourful two-finger salute to a world that stood back whilst so many of us died. And we'll never go quietly, never again.
that post that's like "germ theory sounds crazy if you told a 19th century guy that tiny creatures live on everything hed think youre crazy" pisses me ORFFF the concept of microorganisms or "animalcules" was proposed in 30 BC!! the word was first used in literature in 1599! and has been around solidly in western scientific literature since ~1675 when a dutch guy called van leeuwenhoek observed some little guys (animalcules, translated from the dutch word dierken which means.. little animals) in rainwater (he pioneered microscopy) and was then appointed to the royal society (the leading scientific body at the time)! people knew and accepted that there were microorganisms around, the misunderstanding was that they thought disease was spontaneously generated (came from nothing) by miasma (stink) and was unrelated to the animalcules. if youd said hey what if those little guys... might be causing or living closely with disease? they probably would have been like. you sound like youve been talking to pasteur. the pasteurisation guy. who was not the first to suggest the concept but was the one who proved that microorganisms arent spontaneously generated and that if you add microorganisms to your milk it goes off. this was a long history of arguments within the scientific sphere until antiseptic technique guidelines in medicine and surgery were published and accepted (in the late 1800s)
scientific history is not and has never been "everyone was hilariously wrong until one guy turned up and said 'hey what about this' and everyone recognised the error of their ways and changed immediately" its a constant influx of information and arguments to change peoples minds. what you 🫵 accept as scientific fact could be disproved and thats good and fine and the best way for science to progress! if you told someone from the 1700s a wild new scientific theory like "we could get power from your favourite luminescent green glass if we put it under the right conditions" hed probably be like woah. fascinating. tell me more.
They are so precious
Love Upon a Time Ep. 11
yesterday my grandma found a penny on the floor and said to my grandpa “there’s that penny again, pa!” and i absolutely lost my mind because i couldn’t shelve the thought of a single panel Far Side comic of two old people on the front porch in the middle of nowhere and a giant penny angrily and inexplicably rolling through the wastes
“there’s that penny again, pa!”
this is hands down my single favorite post ive ever made that got notes
I sincerely hope that the OP realizes that gramma was very likely quoting that cartoon.
the cartoon that was drawn and posted based on my post? probably not, but i guess we can never know
I do appreciate an academic with a sense of humor.
shocked and appalled at the lack of bisexuality merch that uses hydrangeas
look at this thing
it already has the right colors and everything! this should be everywhere! we already have the lesbian violets and the gay green carnations, so why not the bisexual hydrangea?
so far I have scoured etsy and found one pair of socks with a nice hydrangea gradient (and it has bees, 10/10), an enamel pin with hydrangeas and a bi flag (not terribly subtle, 7/10) and a sticker that says "bi-drangea" (I am SO MAD that I didn't think of that pun myself, 11/10) AND THAT'S IT.
I REQUEST, NAY, DEMAND MORE BI-DRANGEA MERCH. COME ON, PEOPLE.
i feel like we don’t talk about things like this enough
Reblogging this for the third time in celebration of African World Heritage Day ✨🌍🪘
Everyone get more educated on bisexual history NOW!!!!
Like I might get shit for this but as a nonbinary person I think it’s sort of weird and transphobic/exorsexist to invent new labels that are “attraction to specific third genders” I’m so sorry. You’re forcing a new binary onto us. Now it’s binary vs nonbinary as if we’ve forgotten gender is a spectrum and a social construct.
Queer identity and community several decades ago was so much freer, less divisive, less label obsessed than it is now and I need all of you to actually engage with the history of queer liberation
